Hema Ravi, freelance trainer for IELTS and Communicative English is a recognized poet, author, editor (Efflorescence), event organizer, independent researcher, reviewer, and resource person for English language development courses. Her poems and articles have been featured in various online and print anthologies; several have won prizes too. She is the author of ‘The Cuckoo Sings Again,’ ‘Everyday English,’ ‘Write Right Handwriting Series,’ and coauthor of ‘Everyday Hindi.’ And ‘Sing Along Indian Rhymes.’ In April 2023, she conducted an English language skills session for the government school students who were associated with the She ViL STEM program, organized by IViL - IIT for Villages.

When Will You Die? Jayanthi Sankar’s fourth book, a novella captivates her readers through is explorations of the human psyche. Tabula Rasa her third book, and the second novel was a 2022 NYC Big Book Award ‘Distinguished Favourite’ in the category of Historical Fiction and an ‘honourable mention’ in San Francisco book fest award 2022. She has been in several international panels of literary festivals such as APWT 2018 at Gold coast, Singapore Writers Festival, Seemanchal International Literary festival, Asean- India Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Writers Festival. Misplaced Heads, was on the Eyelands Book Awards 2020 final list of historical fiction in Greece, making its mark as an outstanding postmodern historical fiction. The winner in fiction: short story in 2020 International Book Award -American book fest ‘Dangling Gandhi’ also won the international The Literary Titan award apart from several shortlists and nominations. The title story Dangling Gandhi shortlisted in the 2nd Twist & Twain International Short Story Contest out of the 165 worldwide entries.
A watercolour hobbyist, she’s been a freelancer for more than two decades, with three years of experience in journalism. Born and brought up in India, she lives in Singapore since 1990. She is a full time on-site Interpreter with the Ministry of Manpower.
