- The EDSA Carousel is a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line that is part of the bus routes in Metro Manila.
The line has an exclusive right-of-way on a dedicated bus lane called the EDSA Busway which is separated from the normal road traffic in EDSA by concrete barriers and steel bollards. Interim operations began on June 1, 2020, serving as a replacement of the former bus routes along EDSA, acting as an augmentation service to the MRT Line 3 due to the limited capacity restrictions put in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines.

Malaking tulong tlga etong BRT lalo na sa mga Empleyadong walang sasakyan (Low Class and Middle Class). At iwas late pa sa trabaho kumpara noon na tlgang aabutin ka ng syam-syam. Sana i-implement din eto sa Buong Province of Cavite.

I believe that a lot of issues needs fixing before Route E (Carousel) can become a legit BRT. I'm a regular rider (PITX-Ayala) and it still gets stuck in traffic along Macapagal, EDSA Extension and Ayala. But so far this route is headed to the right direction.
Gusto ko sana I suggest na kung gagawa ng concourse or adjacent/independent terminal sa ating mga MRTs para sa ating busway terminals kahit thru private initiative at least malapad ito para maka accommodate ng at least 10 busses at each designated terminals para iyong mga bus eh hindi lang sa monumento or PITX nakatambay kundi mayroon din sa Guadalupe, Buendia, Roosevelt, Quezon, Magallanes etc. Para tuwing rush hour sa umaga , each station can provide immediate and empty busses. Dapat may ramp ang mga terminals para makaakyat sa 2nd level or kung kaya hanggang 3rd level ang ating mga busses para maka park tapos mixed use din ang terminal na ito para sa negosyo.

Yes it may be easier to access the carousel, but it'll have some conflict with other private vehicles when it comes to intersections. Like in Quezon Avenue, Kamuning, Cubao, Santolan, Ortigas Intersection, Shaw underpass, (excluding Ayala as for the MRT station), it will have some difficulties in terms of traffic. Invading these spaces can result in errors, but today on the side of these roads there's a bike lane, sometimes there are arrogant motorists who use these for cutting, what else for if the bus lane on the side? That's a tough job for the SAICT and MMDA. Look at BRT on different countries as they construct these on the middle to avoid blockage for private vehicles that destined to turn for the next intersection.
I think there may be some proposals for proper barricades for the bus lane to avoid any hard headed drivers to pass by to cut traffic, it's sad considering there are politicians, officials or motorists who drive through the bus lane. According to MMDA Reg. 23 002 and PD 96 (also the illegal use of blinkers as some may abuse) that these vehicles have no acces except for Ambulances and etc. but in some cases some ambulances are used as a colorum to bypass traffic for passengers. It's one main problem for the government to issue on the bus lane. Cebu also has an ongoing construction for it's BRT I guess.
Maganda ang pinasimulan na busway ni PRRD Sec Art pero sana in the future mag-improve pa. Mas maayos kung may public announcement saka LED signs na nasa loob ng bus para di na kailangan ng konduktor. Saka sana maayos din ang dispatching para tamang bilang ng bus ang tatakbo depende sa dami ng pasahero.

Just a thought. Why don't the buses run in the opposite direction? That way, the doors face to the center islands, so passengers can get in and out more quickly (and safely). There's also the added benefit of (potentially) deterring kamotes from entering the bus lanes, knowing they'll go head-on with a large, speeding bus if they enter the bus lanes.

Kailangan may sign board o kaya PA system o di kaya magtrabaho yong konduktor at sabihin kon ano yong parating na bus stop. May pindutan din dapat para sa mga pasahero na mag iilaw o buzzer sa driver para alam nya kong may bababa. The system is in its nascent stage using buses we already have. Hoping that these buses will be replaced in the future with improved ones with the doors on the left side.

Hindi pa po. Mga 300 meters walk pa papunta sa EDSA carousel station. Check niyo sa Google Maps Manila Central University. Nasa tapat niya yung station.
