    Thermoregulation is a new concept for the newborn. Our goal as nurses is to maintain a neutral thermal environment, which is why we do the bath this way. I hope this video is helpful, any questions or comments let me know. :)

    always wet the cloth before adding soap to it so that the water does not get soapy.

    Would you wear gloves to give them their 1st bath? since you’re touching the baby with vernix, potentially blood? Thanks for your videos! I have my 1st OB clinical tomorrow so I’m tyring to familiarize with all the skills :)

      Absolutely wear gloves, even if baby looks "clean" you never know.

      LPN 1 year AASN 2 years BSN 4 years. It all depends on what you want to do.
