All these normies complaining about the "lack of musicality". Nick and Juan are some of the most innovative and respected musicians in the underground, and a lot of the stuff in the demonstrations you consider non-musical are things they do in their music. Git gud, scrubs.
I can't believe some of the comments on here .. Juan and Nick has the best demo channel on TH-cam .. if you don't dig it . ...that's on you!

Just giving a shoutout to the Ibanez UE multi-effect unit in the lower left at 4:52.
LOVE all of the UE models, especially the UE 303B, which is the best sounding bass pedal to plug your guitar into.
You guys just earned a new sub. Keep on keepin' on.
Should release that section with the bass & the first pedal as a single. Would be a worldwide smash. Very impressive subtle use of the pedal.
The EQD Spires is also an absolutely killer fuzz/overdrive. One of my new favorites

Great list and great videos this year! Nemesis and AR are my faves of the year, as well as the Empress verb. Also the Supro pedals are dope, the fuzz and drive sound so good together

How can I get some of those patch cables here in the United States? I can't seem to find anything within the US... I also just purchased the Mr. Black Fwonk Beta and I love it, that Earthquaker Spatial Delivery sounds pretty dope as well for more trippy filter sounds!

I am guilty of accumulating some 30+ ODs many simply because of the artwork. I mean lets be real, with a knob tweak here, a little of this, a little less that, 99.2% sound identical.

megaRory95 totally agree! That, to me, was the best envelope filter pedal. Especially with the effects loop and the assignable expression with the patch cable. It is my dream pedal and will probably always just be a dream pedal LOL!

Uhhhh Carcosa??? Only one of the best fuzzes I've ever played! And I'm a Fuzz freak. Major omission dudes. Between that and the Pickletech Mega Berkatron this has been the greatest year for Fuzz in a long while.
There were a LOT of super boutique fuzzes that probably flew under the radar of P&E honestly
Yeah, like the Baltic Blue fuzz, killer! Nearly sprung for a Carcosa, but the Blue is where I'm swimming. Why? Well that Tone range is good anywhere on the dial, and how the attack stays crisp at full Sustain sounds just classy on any pickup. All controls interact slightly. But now I wanna put it thru a Transmisser damit, bit me again haha.

I was also not impressed with the lack of a "proper" demo. I would prefer something without the random and non-musical knob abuse. I wasn't able to hear the effect(s) in a meaningful and musical way.

Jonathan Blycker yeah true. I think the problem is that they buy so much shit, they don’t seem to spend the time understand each of the pedals and getting the best out of it. That’s totally cool, but I question whether making videos is really their thing. This video should be called: “hey, check out my pedal collection”.
