- The mother of a toddler found wandering a busy Gwinnett County roadway has been arrested. Her 3-year-old son was found along North Deshong Road near South Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain.

That "mother" needs to lose custody and go through a rigorous unification process. Wth?! Anything could've happened to that baby! He's 3. Whatever he did, the punishment didn't fit.
Leaving a toddler is abandonment.
That punishment shows the mental imbalance of the mom. Hopefully the little guy has some relatives who can take care of him.

Most likely the boy wasn't ready to leave and acted out. Most likely she said she'd leave him and decided to do so.
I worked in CPS for 10 years. The mother should never see the child again.

Thank God for the couple that found that little boy. They were Angels for him. I hope the parents never get him back. Who in their right mind would leave a small child like that! (Just a nut, period) And classes or so called help won't help them. Its called common sense and they have none. Prayers to that little boy!
I wouldn't leave my dog, cat, horse, or any other vulnerable animal in a park at night, let alone a small child.

I'm getting SO tired of seeing news clips about parents not taking care of their children or causing the de*ths of their children! I pray this little one will be taken care of by someone who will love and cherish them. Shame on the mother!

On top of all the other issues what is a 3 yr old doing up at 10:30 at night? They need 12 to 14 hours of sleep a night. They should be in bed by 7 O'clock at night. I see a lot of small kids up at all hours of the night. I worry about the long term neurological development of kids who don't get enough sleep.
