At the beginning of the video, Amal just resonanced the feeling of an introvert, and i can relate soooo much
I realized that no long last best friend in my life, like my best friend on junior high won't be my best friend on senior high anymore, and so on college.
I just have some people who are good to be friend with, I don't have to contact or see them often, but i'm sure when we meet or when we chat we're still very good.
    Love this topic very much

Haha Amal you’re not alone, I’m definitely not going to have thousands bridesmaids like some people do & tbh i have been stressing about that thinking i should make friends asap haha. But then again my intentions won’t be right cuz i enjoy being myself & friends drain my energy so now i don’t care as much.
Love that you guys talked about this topic 😊😊

This episode hits home very much. I am now conflicted between this whole concept of trust and friendships. I used to be so close to this one person, we were the epitome of what true bestfriends should be, and that was way before the social media era - where what matters the most is the time you spent together. The saddest thing is that it's all in the past now, distance played a major role to our separation and no matter how we try to keep in touch, what used to be just cant be there anymore. I dont know, I hate friendships that turns out like that, it being over against your own true will. Instagram is probably another good point here, that fomo stigma, 'where am I in your feed' kinda feeling - I truly feel the best friendships I had were the ones before all this social medias existed but alas, such is life ~

omg, this resonates to me too Amal! like I feel youuuuu ! I doubt I'll be having a bride tribe nor a girl pal at my wedding :( probably all my friends are going to attend my wedding and leave haha #sadtruth but #itssokay #illbefine. I'm just so happy to know that I'm not alone. my friendships now are also less 'cheesy' or 'clingy'.we don't really Instagram our once in a while outings, I had different friends from different circles that I had deep meaningful conversations that go beyond pictures on instagrams, some of my friends don't even have Instagram accounts. but I think I prefer it this way even if it means no 'bridal showers' or surprises in fancy restaurants etc because like what you guys mentioned 'we just function differently and its just how things are.'

I find myself anticipating iman and amal's talks! Interesting. I love the way both of you speak. Through these talks i see that iman and amal although sisters have contrasting personalities - well yeah they're both their own person. Reminds me of my sis and I. We're like night and day haha. Anyway I cannot wait for your next talk! xo

Thankyou iman for this topic on ur yt show, bcs i think ur point is quite unpopular which people think it isnt relevant but actually its happened. Based on my own experience guys, feel free to read.
I had a friend before, we become close bcs of we were classmate and we spend our time together a lot, but over the time, a lot of things happened, arguments, terasa merajuk and everything. And thats true iman, its drained me so much. Bcs i need to live my life in order to meet her expectations , texted her everday, ask her if she’s ok if she tweet sadly, hang out with her every week and one day, a big argument happened. And she chooses to leave bcs she thinks im not a good friend to her and since then im kinda blaming myself for not being enough. However after i watching this i finally realise.
We just not meant to be friends. We just different in a lot of ways of “friendship” so i just let her go bcs she choose that. And i think my life is better after that seriously! I dont feel that hard, i feel free, more flexible.
For me, friends are not necessarily meet everyday, text everyday, call everyday. Im not so fancy with that. People who are fancy with friendship they tend to show everything on social media, while im not bcs i love to keep my privacy hidden. So anyone out there who experience same story as me, dont blame urself. People who are leaving u bcs of ur lack is the one who cannot accept u, so let them go and find those who can accept u whatever u are . Xoxo

This discussion is like an eye opener to me as i used to be that kinda friend where i have high expectations towards my friends. Then, after i watched this podcast i kinda like yes, they have other commitments and yes, if we enriched each other in many ways, we will find our way back to each other. Like me and my best friends, we updated each other through WhatsApp or video call but not everyday and during holidays we would make time to go eat out just to have some catch up session. These are the friends that always there for me when i'm at my lowest. To be honest.. i only have 4 best friends that i'm grateful for. 2 from high school and the other 2 from bachelor. They're some of the people that i go to when i need advices. Best friends are like sisters from another parents. Alhamdulillah for them. Just be with someone who values you and just cut off people that are toxic to your life. Life is short. Appreciates people who loves you for you and improve you to be a better person.

Watched (or rather listened) to this while I was driving back home from work and I can't help but nod a lot of times in agreement with u guys. I'm the type of person that likes being friends with people but I definitely do not have / need a girl gang or something like that. I used to be so 'envious' of people who have friends like that, the ones who would go on sleepovers, do bridal showers etc but then I figured out that nahh i'm okay with not having to share my bantal with other people and have girly chats before sleep. 😅 I am happy with the few friends that I am close with.
Cheers Iman and Amal, looking forward to more of your discussion.

Love you girls! Good to know that everything you had discussed here relates to my life a lot, especially on the FOMO part and insta-worthy part! 🤣 I had once felt so stress about being left out, but aging/adulting makes me accept it the way it is. All is good now!

    I. Am. Totally. Get. This.
Being a girl who studied in chinese ed but grew in a malay community. It is hard for me to tune back and forth every single day. So i decided not to anymore at certain point and just let it flow. So i just end up just with my siblings and cousins. Which is much more cooler! Cause they understand how crazaaay is my family and so do i..
I feel u Amal, i don't have bride tribe, and it is fine (6years married now).

Please help me to understand this. They sit on the same couch and distance is less than 4 ft. Why are they using a headset? Can they not using the headset? I saw few podcast on youtube and they only have a mic on and not a headset. Sorry I went out of the topic but I really want to know.
