  • sarvātmā ca divanāthomanaḥ kumuda-bandavaḥsattvaṁ kujo budhaiḥ prokto
    budho vāṇī-pradāyakaḥ
[Sun] The lord of the effulgence is the core identity of anything.
[Moon] The friend of flowers is the mental seat of desire and emotion.
[Mars] The earth-born is the energizing essence (say the wise).
[Mercury] The intellectual is the enabler of communication.
    devajño jñāna-sukha-dābhṛgur vīryo-pradāyakaḥṛṣibhiḥ proktanaiḥ proktoś
    chaya-sūnuś ca duḥkha-dā
[Jupiter] The knower of enlightenment is the giver of positive knowledge.
[Venus] The effulgent sparkler is the enabler of sensual accuity (so say the sages, who also say…)
[Saturn] The child of shadow is the giver of sadness.

Thanks for another amazing video and great insight on the planets.
I like the way that you compared the Mars with the battery of a computer and like to take that further, as above so below and see if that makes sense:
Sun/identity/purpose: The reason or purpose that makes different parts work together as a whole. In a computer, the purpose is computing which makes it different than a fan which is fanning.
    Moon/mind: The operating system
    Mercury/language: software and codes
    Mars/energy: The electrical energy
Venus/senses: Interfaces and input and output controls
    Jupiter/knowledge: Memory, cloud, internet
Saturn/karma: Defines the barrier and a certain structure to be able to work with existing platforms, which in this case, a computer has to follow the same rules as any electrical device that has been practiced and developed.

Where would be the best reference of how the planets, signs, and houses describe nature and the relation we see in nature? I'm in a farming training and I seeing how the certain aspects of nature especially with agriculture that stick out to me according to things I heard in astrology. For example does nature give indications of order of planets mentioned like the cycle of plants growing and then dying.

I've been studying Jyotish for over 25 years now (on and off) and this is, by far, the best explanation I have heard for Mars and Sattva - each individually and for why Mars is described as being Sattvic. It's also increasingly clear to me that I am about 25 years late when it comes to learning Sanskrit. Looking forward to the explanation of Brighu. Again, thanks so much to both of you for these videos that always give new and useful insights on things.
