@@TheLawngineer absolutely, luckily I don’t have hard clay and I’m able to cut in new bed edges with it. Only minor downside is the edges aren’t very deep
Anyway to get the powerhead and just the broom/brush? I live in the Mojave desert and have dessert landscaping and artificial grass. I've looked and find no way to get just the broom and powerhead with no other attachments. Thanks
How does the weight compare to the EGO edger. It seems Milwaukee is a lot more pricey than EGO. They had a sale at Lowes with power head and edger for $149, but it was too heavy. I couldn't find Milwaukee power head and edger only.
Without batteries, the Milwaukee powerhead and edger attachment is a tad heavier (0.16 lbs). But I believe the Ego batteries are a lot heavier than the Milwaukee batteries. I don’t think Milwaukee sells the Edger/powerhead as a kit. You’d have to buy something like the string trimmer or pole saw kit, and buy the edger attachment separately.
I have the trim trimmer and edger , I can’t tell if I love or hate the string trimmer , it never feeds the line correctly but when it does it’s a beast power wise , the edger is a great attachment tho
I bought one in 2019 while I lived in Wyoming and it was a workhorse! I moved to Tx this year and my batteries don’t last but a few minutes. I have always used the large 12 batteries. What can I do to help the battery last longer? I have heard the new batteries are really bad. What battery do I need to get, or do I need to buy a new unit?
Been in the LANDSCAPE BUSINESS FOR 29 years and switched over to LITHIUM OUT DOOR POWER EQUIPMENT Back in Spring 2022 love them dont have to deal with GAS/OIL SPARK plugs TUNE UPS and they run in COLD WEATHER Better then Gas how does everybody get these TOOLS To review and i take that you get to keeo them too
Don't buy the original, wait till the "complete redesign" is released. I've had 5 units, all with 100% failure rate. They over heat at the terminal and melt the motor and the batteries. Good thing Homedepot has an easy return policy. But still sucks, especially if you live rural like me.

I e had the quik-lok for about 4 years now and absolutely love it! Next on your list should be the bed redefiner and the rubber paddle
@@kennycooperkc I have the rubber paddle from ECHO, but not the bed redefiner. Thought about it, you like it?

can you use extension on hedge trimmer attachment?
@@nyacoustics8373 I think you can
I thought the Reciprocator head didn't require manual gear greasing? Same for the edger?

@@_the_line_8898 I don’t think you can. I don’t even think they sell the powerhead by itself. At least it’s not listed on their website that way.
@@TheLawngineer That’s what l’m finding as well.

@@TheLawngineer Thanks, I wonder if Echo or Stihl would be better. I would like battery power and light.

Have you had the batteries a long time? I believe Milwaukee has a 3-year warranty on them. I would go that route first.
I’ve had them since 2019. Is it true about the new large batteries won’t run long anymore? Should I buy the 8, or what do you suggest?
@@Suze316 if you use it for a long time, go with the 12.0’s. But if weight is an issue, the lighter 8.0 will work great.

Good to know. Thanks for sharing! I think the next one comes out later this year.
Correct, this fall. I'm excited to try it. Fingers crossed, they have rectified the overheating issues
Is there a website where I can learn more about the redesign model?
