I know what you mean. It's all gone a bit strange now. I think it's social media that's made it go like that. Djing ain't the same now, it's all about image. No one actually mixes anything manually anymore. 😂 Remember when people went to see hype because of his quick fire mixes and scratching, or Andy c because he did things no other dj could do. Now it ain't like that. No disrespect she has some reasonable old skool tunes but not anything that ain't easy to grab. It's more about pulling faces, jiggling your arse and doing shit for the camera. Issue is if you got a pair of tits now it's much easier to get into something like this. To be fair though maybe I'm just being a bit cynical...... Or maybe it's just the truth. Who am I to knock the hustle though
@@benturner3458 we love it and so do lots of others , shes a sick DJ and not just playing old skool tunes, her style is sick, people always wanna hate when people doing well. Excited to see where Hologram Sessions goes, its dopest thing online right now.
@@musicmatters7690 maybe that's partly true, it is easy to hate when others are successful, I don't disagree. I guess I just don't like a lot of aspects of digital mixing, with bpm counters and auto queuing because it takes any skill out of mixing, and I don't really like all the face pulling and hand signs she does because it just seems like it's posing for the camera etc... I get that's the way things are going now, but I wonder if a dude was doing identical mixes, if they would have the same level of views? Somehow I doubt it tbh. Anyway I respect that she plays old tunes sometimes. I've got tens of thousands of pounds worth of early 90s jungle to 2003 drum and bass I need to dig out on vinyl myself. God knows what I'll do with it, would be nice to have a mix again sometime but life always gets in the way.....
Bit too much money in it now. Back when we raved it was about having fun, now it's not even fun anymore.
@@benturner3458 I'm glad someone else feels the same as I do. Fearless is an original OG I got nothing bad to say about the mc's. But the showboating from the "Dj" is just ridiculous. The face pulling etc. There's a difference between enjoying what you're doing and doing it for the camera that's how it felt. Plus I didn't see her touch any pitch control and I'm 20mins in. Only still here because of fearless. Good luck anyway 👍
