I'm guessing it was a portable utility vehicle that you could take the bonnet off and attach a belt to a generator or a saw mill. It has a very low rpm, so it probably just has these couple giant pistons that deliver utility power. Just my theory.
Well the R.H. side and the rear looked OK . What about the front and L.H. side ???? That would have been a real bonus . Disappointed from down under in Australia
Sheesh, of course you only saw the right side and the rear. You live in Australia. You have to watch the vid from Asia to see the left side and the front. You don't see any Asians on here complaining about only seeing the left and front do ya? Pipe down.

Second we usually only see the underneath because we are upside down or did you forget that in your misguided logic. . As far as piping down we are further down [and safer] than you will ever be. How ever stay healthy and keep safe .

They were used to make deliveries , like coal in the cities or cover the distance from the shipper to the nearby railway station or from railway station to the delivery adress.

They were very agile and the big advantage was that you could have more trailers with only one tractor : While one trailer is loaded, another trailer can be used to deliver goods. You don't need long waiting times for expensive equipment and drivers.
