Classic Leather is the oldest manufacturer of leather upholstered furniture in the USA. Founded in the mid-sixties by Thomas H. Shores, Sr., it is still family and employee owned and operated. Classic Leather is a vertically integrated company, meaning we own and operate our frame manufacturing shop, cushioning fabrications, leather marking, cutting and sewing operations and the upholstering processes. Our craftspeople use time-honored techniques coupled with the latest technology to build each piece by hand to your specifications. We understand that every piece of Classic Leather bears the signature of its owner and their unique style. And Classic Leather is still completely crafted in the USA. There are over 110 skilled craftspeople and artisans, many 2nd and 3rd generation, who take great pride in producing leather furniture that will last for many years to come.

Classic Leather strives to make sure our products, processes, employees and suppliers reduce any negative impact on our environment. Our hardwood suppliers replant forests. Our leathers are PCP free and have water-based finishes. The foam we use contains no harmful CFC’s. We filter all wood chips and dust, and recycle scrap wood, foam and leathers. All chemicals and hazardous wastes are monitored and disposed of according to strict federal and state regulations.
