For the melodious part of the deck you can change a little so you have more space in your ED and run less bricks in the main deck: You can run: 3 refrain, 3 ostinato, 1 couplet and 1 concerto, you will have a slight different line but you will endup in the same place Ostinato combo: 1. Activate ostinato, sending 2 refrain as material. Summon Bacha 2. Bacha on summon effect, summon the last refrain. 3. Refrain on summon, add couplet. Couplet reveal to summon one of the refrain on the GY. (Field is Bacha and 2 Refrain. Hand is Couplet) 4. Scale couplet, search for Concerto. Concerto using Refrain and Bacha on field + Couplet on scale. Summon Etoille 5. Bacha cl1 target the last Refrain on GY, Refrain cl2, Couplet Cl3 to place them on scale. (Field now is Etoille and 2 Refrain on field, 1 Refrain and 1 Couplet on scale) 6. Etoille effect banish itself, now you have 2 level 4s to make Duodrive or any rank4 you want, plus a pendulum scale. Using these ratios also make opening with only Refrain a 1 card combo that can bridge into your Ryzeal combos Refrain combo: 1. Normal summon Refrain, search for Couplet 2. Lizardose effect to banish itself so you can draw another card and remove the non-Level/Rank4 from the field. 9. Pendulum summon Refrain from the extra deck to the EMZ. Now you have 2 Refrain on the field to make a rank 4 and in the proccess you got 2 draws from Concerto and Lizardose
Thanks, I'm already familiar with that build of the engine. But you'll find that the different ratio on these monsters are for a specific play. Where you'd most likely never normal your refrain and if you were to ns refrain you'd go for canon to make an instant rank 4 play because you're not planning to fuse. Fusion summoning is just a bonus feature of the engine. That's why the original creator didn't use the standard ratio.
While drawing 2 is fine, having a bounce 2 and a consistent line to the main engine (ryzeal) is a better out look. This is based on my experience playing the deck. Not Just in Ryzeal, but in other decks. Each deck requires the engine to me structured more for what the deck intends to do. In Voiceless it's really for the omni which needs pens in the face up ex that's the original reasons with the ratio was 3,3,1,1 without the odd eyes you'll find that the ratio of refrain doesn't matter too much unless you're running a larger engine which you shouldn't 8 cards is usually best.
