I have been debating on making the decision to get my MFA in Creative Writing (from Emerson), and your video has helped me make my final decision to take the plunge after I graduate from my current Adult Education program. Thank you so much for posting this video to help people like myself!
I had a bad experience at The New School. My life was ruined when I was reported all because my brain works differently. I also lost the case when I should have been the one playing victim. It is usually the one with disabilities that gets hurt. That was no exception. I vowed myself never to recommend the program, or thank it for anything. I should have sued. The last report stated that I talked to her was a big lie to leave a black mark on my record. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t even true the last time it happened. It was just because that one student hated me because of the cooky stuff that didn’t sound wrong in my mind. Everybody in my division read that night. She wasn’t even part of it. Good thing it was close to graduation, or a would of been expelled. I could forgive. But this one of the things I will never forgive. And even when I do forgive, I don’t forget.
Nope! My undergrad was a Bachelor of Science. In my MFA program, there was the range of English majors & Creative Writing majors to engineers, business, political science and law degrees, and beyond.
imo....The truth is learning how to write is not equal to "Story Telling" .. It will definitely get you there...but it's not given...no amount of schooling or academic or courses makes one a great storyteller...
For the first half of my low res program, I worked as a nanny. Then I got a job as an outreach coordinator at my local university, which is where I still work.

Uh. I guess I’ll be the one to ask - what actually happened?
Don't dance around the issue, tell us what happened.
@@justinedse3314 I'm just going to let it go.
ADVICE: do you need a BFA in Creative Writing before a MFA? My interest leans to genre like sci-fi and children’s books. And even screenwriting
