I'm sort of new to digital music production, but I can sort of understand everything Adam is doing, yet whenever I see Ben doing anything I feel like a medieval peasant discovering an alien species.
The key is that he doesn't know what he's doing either, just be crazy and turn knobs (physical or digital) in random ways, you'll find your own alien species from within

Assuming they were recording with each of these the whole time, there would’ve been more like 120 (96 if Adam only has one camera) hours of footage to sift through and edit together
I was in the stream for +6 hours aprox and i can tell you that the entire livestream was as entertaining as this higlights video, their process is just so free and fun (also the ben jokes had me dying several times)
Adam: hey so I made this super useful synth line that sounds amazing and calm Ben: so I screamed into a mic and used some nutso arpeggiators and stuff Edit to note: I love it, it’s just very, very different approaches to music
Adam is very much a Jazz Arranger(tm). Adam is really really good at making things work together with a little bit of that jazz spice. As for Ben, Ben is just so unbelievably full of creativity and zero shame which makes for a great song writer imo.

The amount of editing required to make this must've been insane, not to mention mastering the video's audio with a bunch of different songs. Great work
I love how Ben works in REAPER and how he just let's it fly with the vocals. Also, Adam improvising absurdly nice bass lines out of nowhere. Also again, how cool you guys let us see the chaotic beginnings before the tracks took shape.
That’s a pretty good creative exercise - set yourself a super tight deadline to do something highly ambitious that most people take weeks or even months to accomplish. It’ll strengthen those songwriting muscles 💪 🧠
It also forces you to be less of a perfectionist. You can’t really be like “nah that’s not the vibe I’m feeling rn” It forces the creative juices to flow regardless of what you want to do.
I just watched a 43 minute video, about a 24 minute album made in 24 hours... And I can't wait to see the next one. Truly amazed at the bonkers musicianship and craft. Love what you do.
also I can't even fathom how muffled your guys' ears were towards the end of this because as a sound engineer, I always find myself having to do 15-minute breaks every 90 minutes or so, otherwise I lose any possibility of clear-headed judgement over what's going on

@@theostanway9013 It is but it's not an odd time signature since the "odd" has more to do with the way they sound rather than the top number being even or odd, usually an odd time signature is a time signature where the top number can't be evenly divided into 2 or 3 but that's not always the case, take 9/8 for example, 9 can be evenly divided into 3 groups of 3 but sometimes it's used as an odd grouping of 4+5 or 5+4 wich is also the case for most of the time 9/4 is used
