- When starting your trading day it is very important to have a routine, something that doesn't cost you any energy and brain power to do on a daily basis. Having that makes your trade selection a lot easier. So how do you create such a routine?
One extremely powerful and useful part of your trading should be correlation. Having correlation in your favor greatly improves the odds for your trade setup to work out. Correlation also happens to be a great tool to select trades as it also shows us currency strength.
In this video Navin shares how he applies correlation to select the best pairs to trade for the upcoming session. He explains this in his unique easy-to-follow style and also shares how you can understand correlation with the use of price action.

Here is some thing i noticed and it makes me little confused.
On these 6 Yen pairs, we have strong support/ressistance on daily/weekly (or even monthly) charts , and, actually, in some bigger picture we have Yen raising during past ten years. Based on this informations, Yen could be more likely to go up. I'm maybe wrong, but also, we have 2 totally opposite pictures if we compare Yen in 4H tf versus weekly Yen. So, if price respect higher tf S/R more than these in lower ones, our Yen price should keep its run and start rising very soon. I will be very happy to hear your opinion, and all constructive and well-intentioned comments from other people are wellcome too.

To not get spiked out wait until it breaks resistance then you somewhat ok but to be sure wait for a retracement to know both sides but if it keeps going then you know more about its strength and slope is key
this is the key, it's all risk management and timing, risk no more than 2% of equity while waiting on the right 3-1 set ups and move stop loss in profit you're rich

When Navin said in this video that the big boy says dump the jpy the chart was showing a hard upward market(green color). When it is an upward market shall we buy or sell then?
If we shall enter and sell, I wonder why sell when the market is showing upward (green colors)? shouldn't we buy when the market is upward(green colors) and not sell?

When you determine currencies strength, and you pick first pair, for
example on yen group, usd/jpy,. then you said: based on recent
resistnece we had, on early decebmer, pair broken higher, which mean
trend is up..then on all other pair you choose early december as a base
for determing direction of the trend..so, my question is, what if on
some other pairs, recent resistence isn't on the early december, what we

Can I ask, when you are using strength indicator, how further back do you look at, like using daily chart and look back around 10 or 12, or what
Thanks for your question Henry. To identify opportunities in the currency market we first take a look on our strength chart. Afterwards we pick the right pair and analyse it by using price action. Navin normally looks back 5 - 10 trading days to get an idea how the overall strength of a particular currency is.

I always have used USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, NZD & CHF but i can see that you normally dont take into account the CHF group to do the window shoping or the strength numbers.
So, what happens with the CHF group?
Is it better to set it aside and only use USD EUR GBP JPY AUD CAD & NZD?
Hi Gaston. Thanks for your question. We usually trade USD, EUR, JPY, AUD, CAD, NZD & CHF. With the Swiss franc the issue is that the central bank gets actively involved and that they manipulate their currency actively during the last years. So we don't want to trade something like that - at least not for now.

Our currency strength meter is done everyday using Price Action analysis and not calculated with math formulas like many other currency meters out there in the market.
Is it always be the case that when we want to buy a currency pair (let's say EURUSD), we have to wait until all the other sister pairs (maybe EURCAD,EURGBP, EURCHF and others) also ready for the buy then only we can buy EURUSD? Thank you.
Thanks for your question. You can wait until all sister pairs signal a buy, it's the more safer way to trade and the chances of a successful trade are rising.

Thanks for your question Devraj. First you should check all currency groups: EUR, USD, CAD, JPY, CHF, AUD, NZD.
After doing that you choose the strongest/weakest currency group. Within those two groups you look for the currency pair which shows the cleanest movement.

so the main thing what i understood is this, when a new day start , we need to see the strength number weak/neutral, or strong/neutral and then after choosing the pair, we go to that group, and see there how the group is performing, how and when they have broken the previous day low and how they are givinng the pullbacks, the sooner it breaks the Previous day low at the starting of the day like in starting for the aisan session, the more chances we have to trade that in london as anticiaption trade. but the thing is firstly, how much far it has breached the previous day low or we can say may be probed. and then just read the pullback combining with sister pair, and just time it right , even when the high news is there in london after reading the whole story....like as he says when they want to go in sell they need panic of buyers to come, and that panic comes on news mostly and they show wicks and panic, all thing this is now going to buy, but we are ready to go in our main overall direction . am i right
So to sum it up, once you have done correlation and understand which pairs are weak/strong/neutral, check if you see a break of previous day or of a session. Next you look if the pullback is done to take your entry 😉 Everything is better explained in the MPA course.

No. the other 5 will not spike. The spike is a result of the other 5 not being ready.
I have been going through the 4cb lately I see that most trade taken and explained by navin are trend trades and he uses correlation to select the trades through window shopping .. My question is
1. Is navin a trend follower ?
2. If so does he use the correlation to select the trades to know the best ones to take ?
1. Most of Navin's trades are with the trend, but not all.
2. Correlation is part of it, but not the only criteria.

how do you use the other currency pairs to time it like precision as you say at 53:20 ? What are you looking for in the other pairs to enter the trade? and when would you have entered the trade, at the spike or right after the spike?

Yes, you can use this same concept when looking at breaks of a session as well.

At the beginning of the video you said that we dont want to trade the strongest vs the weakest(usd/jpy in that video) , but yet in the end you said that USD/JPY is the best pair to pick , can u please explain me more about that ?
At the beginning Navin was doing correlation of the USD group, and we noticed that USD was strong across the board however most pairs had already left except for USD - which was was the "weakest" out of all the USD group.
At the end Navin was doing correlation of the JPY group and we noticed that USDJPY had the strongest uptrend and was leading compared to the rest of the JPY group. So in the context of the JPY's USDJPY would have been the best pair to pick.
