Even though I was a virgin and now I'm traumatized, at almost 28. Like, how could I have slept around, if she kept me locked up in the house, after school and on weekends?

Best thing to do as a mom is be a good friend and let them feel safe to be honest, let them learn safety and integrity, and always knowing they have a shoulder to rest their head on. I have an 8 month old daughter and I commonly think of scenarios of when she is a teenager and does get in a relationship and talks to me about herself, I will NEVER make her feel stupid or alone.. I just want her to know her own worth which is to the sky!! and also how absolutely precious her feelings are.. And to never feel like she has to be alone on the most tmi subject possible.
You're a great mother! Your daughter is so lucky to have you in her life. I wish I had a mother who was like that. When I was 18 and I told my mom at the OBGYN (because she wanted me to get checked if I was sexually active) my mom got so upset that she kicked me out of the house that day.. I could never understand why she acted that way.

I like to see how the older generation always argue that the younger generation is problematic, when it's the older generation that had to teach them how to grow up. There are always exceptions everywhere because nothing can be 100% true. But it's safe to say that kicking a child out isn't a great way to do things, especially when you're wondering later why "my child doesn't speak to me anymore".

My dad has cheated on her their whole relationship and they just recently officially divorced because he wants to sell the house to give the $ to get a girl in her 20’s to sleep w him. He’s put our fam in debt SO MANY times because of paying for 🐱. My mom always hyper focused on my sis and I’s sex life and relationships cus she didn’t want us to ‘make her mistakes’. She would sabotage relationships we had (including friends) just cause she didn’t approve of the person. Like, when I first got with my bf, we started off just hanging and hooking up. He worked mornings to like 8pm so, most days, I’d come over after his work and sleepover then he’d drop me off at my dorm. My mom found out & started telling me how he just saw me as a ‘hole’ and didn’t actually like me cause otherwise I’d be his gf & invited always during the day (even though it had only been a wk or 2 of hanging irl). She’d tell me how his mother was def thinking I was a whore and my mom would call me a prostitute and whore as I was leaving to see him. I started coming to his house crying and, eventually, I told him the truth. He was so comforting and eventually he did ask me out ❤. We’ve been together almost 4 yrs. Also, she always lived extra vicariously through my sister but my sis came out as a lesbian with a gf a couple yrs ago, and you can imagine how that went…..😅

This video is really inspiring. I can relate to the girls so much. My mom treated me very badly growing up, tho not like the moms in the video in that way but she was and is crazy. She had done everything in her power to make me feel low. I've moved out last year its now been 10 months since I've left. I have never once regretted ever making that first step leaving and cutting her off. Some days are harder then then others I know if I really try and apply myself I can find my own place and live my life peacefully. One step at a time. I just love the messege in your video. Dont let what your toxic family members think, do or say to you be your defining character only you can be who you want. Yes someday are rough but if you truly work on yourself, work towards a better tomorrow for yourself. Then things will eventually work out in the end.
I hope it's easy to move out in my country.. Houses and cars are fcking expensive, and it's almost impossible for me to have those when my salary was only 3K averages, and yes with lots of commitment as well :(
