1. YOU MUST HAVE A PCR TEST ONLY TO ENTER INTO HAWAII. THEY WILL ABSOLUTELY SEND YOU BACK HOME OR TO LOS ANGELOS (THE NEAREST PLACE) TO TAKE THE CORRECT TEST, OR YOU CAN OPT TO QUARANTINE THERE FOR 14 DAYS... YIKES.
2. PLEASE RENT A CAR WAY IN ADVANCE, YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE AND DO MORE AND THE TAXI AND UBERS ARE EXPENSIVE.
3. PLEASE RESEARCH! MAKE SURE IT'S OPEN AND CHECK THE PLACES BEFORE YOU BOOK OR ELSE YOU WILL MISS OUT.
4. THERE IS A LOT OF HOMELESS THERE, BE NICE AND HELP THEM WITH FOOD IF YOU CAN.

Looked like a fun trip. I feel like you’re the type of person who rolls with the punches and always has fun regardless of what happens.
First time commenting. Glad you had fun despite restrictions. I was in Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, Hawaii for my birthday years ago. It's my favorite place on earth....I loved every minute of it. I wish you could have experienced the Polynesian Cultural Centre all day festivities with a hollywood type production show at the end topped off with a Luau in the evening. We also did a Seafood Boil Dinner Cruise, bicycle tour, the Dole Pineapple Plantation tour and a whole lot more. In better times, perhaps on your next trip check out these excursions. I also had the Shave Ice Dessert at the same place, it melted real fast and it was delicious.
Omg all that you said I wish I could’ve done. I feel like I missed out on so much but hopefully I can go again and do all of this . So many things were closed, the island sold most of their fleet of cars And it was Mother’s Day weekend. So much we missed out on.

I went a couple of years ago. You guys definitely missed out on a lot of things due to covid. If I could make a couple of suggestions, get a hotel on the beach. We stayed at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Hotel and had oceanfront rooms. Also, 53 By The Sea is one of 5he most exclusive restaurants on the island. I could go on but.... Anyway, happy belated birthday!🎂🍾🎉🎁

Turo is a rental car option. And check out the Polynesian Cultural Center & the Aloha Stadium Swap meet (for the souvenir shopping.) Also the best beaches are away from Waikiki.

Diamond head is an extinct volcano.. the hike is not bad and the view is amazing! You can see the crater form the top. Next time do it, you won’t regret it! Nice video!

Good thing you didn’t rent a car, cuz there’s no point everything is walking distance since everything is close to each other. We certainly didn’t and gals we didn’t. We only took Uber to the airport and back

Hawaii is amazing! Everything does close by 4 and almost all the excursions are 45mins away from each other.

Yes! I know someone who frequently travels to Hawaii and her family gets this test done through walgreens. Free and Hawaii accepts it
What airline did you fly? I leave next week on the 26th and they said that they weren’t accepting rapid test? The whole process is so confusing
@@jal1703 the best way to get around would be a car.... but if that’s not possible it’s definitely possible to get around using all other options depending on how long you’re staying

Hi Asha, Do you know if I take my PCR COVID test 70 hours before I catch my flight is that ok? Or do it have to be exactly 72 hours when you catch your flight? We have a 6 hour flight to Hawaii from Los Angeles. I appreciate any advice you can give. Thank you much!
So you cannot go past the 72 hour mark . If you get on the plane at 70 hours and it’s a 6 hour flight then I’m afraid you won’t make the deadline. You need to take the test and you need to have time left on the clock bc LA AIRPORT is not the problem it’s Hawaii you will have to worry about

When did they change the testing? The lady at the Hawaii help desk told me I had to take Rapid ID test at Walgreens

I went to CVS HEALTH. It needs to be a PCR not antigen test . If you haven’t been vaccinated

Did you take the PCR NAAT test ? I’m going in July and all I’ve been hearing is the NAAT test
Mine says RT PCR. It just has to go through a lab they don’t want it to be a quick test when you find out same day
