Thanks, we got the trencher in the mid 80s ('84 I think). It was new to us then but came from a drainage outfit from Fermanagh. From what I know Bruff came from Shropshire which is now the McConnel factory.
Absolutely, we need a varied ecosystem and wetlands play an important part in creating a diverse habitat. This drainage job was fixing ancient land drains.
Lots of drainage work needed after this wet winter Let’s hope farmer have mapped out there fields for wet spots
