68 Arran Street East - Conservation Update 9

This video describes the newly reconstructed roof at 68 Arran Street East, reproducing the original steeply pitched, 45-degree, mid-Georgian roof demolished around the early 1980s. Constructed entirely in timber with a Welsh slate covering, it is dressed in lead and copper and weathered on its northern gable with a newly reconstructed red brick chimney - all based on evidence from photographic research and a thorough inspection of the building's form and origins.
