Nexus is hands down the coolest Ultra of all time. All of his attacks look cool even without excessive movements, especially Over Ray Schtrom. The Meta Field is a very unique and cool concept too, which sadly it gets overwritten by Dark Field half the time which he cannot reverse.
Alongside the older generation ultras he's one of the few Heiseis that doesn't need to rely on others to help him win, doesn't say a single word which isn't a thing anymore since New Generation and later shouts out every single move, and most importantly he doesn't play with 13465134523 toys to win a fight.
His voice is one of the coolest of all ultras too. And the concept of him evolving into different forms based on his hosts has also never been done before, and surprisingly never been done after. It's such a cool concept exclusive to him.
This is one of the only Ultras that I've ever bothered to read up the entire wiki fanpage for. 10/10 needs more screentime, and if they do it hopefully Tsuburaya doesn't pick a bad airing schedule for it. This show deserves so much more attention and love than it gets.
As of writing this, Ultraman Blazar just dropped a few days ago, and from episode 1 alone it seems kinda on the darker side with less/no sitcom like the usual new generation heroes, or at least the first episode itself gives me that kind of vibes. He kinda reminds me of Nexus and I'm hoping that he can pick up the mantle that Nexus left, although Nexus will always have an irreplacable place in my heart
I watched Nexus when I was 11 years old. At that time I just watch it as another typical Ultraman series not knowing it has darker side and was meant for adult watch. I was completely oblivious of the dark tones of the series till now cause none of any scenes scared me. But all and all, I love it. Nexus was so cool to ignore. He's kinda like the edgier hero. When I start researching more about Nexus, I'm loving him even more. An Ultra God in his devolved state, evolving as time passes through the bonds of host to host. A warrior of the bonds of light, Nexus. I like that.
I swear Tsuburaya needs to give this Ultraman a bigger role

Ah my childhood ultraman. The first one i ever watched despite being a little dark and serious than the rest. Its still one of my favourites alongside Mebius and Taro. Speaking of them, could u do all attacks for Mebius and Hikari too?

Nexus fighting style is different and has more techniques than other Ultraman . He suffers and hurt a lot to figure out how to defeat Spacebeast.
The first ever Ultraman that felt like he wearing an entire suit of armor.
Not like what we have that is pretty much just a chest piece or pretty much bare naked.
The Strongest Ultraman and he solos every enemies lol.
The only ultraman that makes effort to at least fight in the different dimension to minimize damage... Whereas other especially new ultraman purposefully lands on earth without holding back... Because the effect of dust rising is cool...

really wished tsuburaya would keep going down this darker side of an ultraman series. as a long time ultraman fan it would really appeal to most of us nowadays (adults) for a darker approach in building a series

ultraman nexus series was a best in 2005 . I don't scared for this ultraman nexus dark series but I'm very enjoying this ultraman nexus series , very so cool ultraman nexus 🕶️ why Japanese kids around 2005 so scare this series 🤣🤣

I still don’t understand how their forms work
Ok lemme explains.. Nexus is a devolved form of Ultraman Noa.. before he became Nexus, he have an old form called Ultraman The Next.. after years of resting.. he evolved into Nexus who have a base form called Anphan (the grey and silver one).. Anphan is the most balanced form and not tied to 3 minute rule.
However, it is far too weak to destroy most of the space beast in the series and most of the beast ACTUALLY looks like they can kill him. Not just that, Anphan lack meta field (a pocket dimensions) which Nexus regularly use to prevent collateral damage. This is wher Junis form (the red form) comes in. By turning to Junis, Nexus strength is increased and his attack become more powerful.. now, he can use Meta Field that also slightly weaken the Space Beast and empower himself. However, Nexus now tied to 3 minute rule like most ultra.
Junis Blue on the other hand is a variant of Junis when Nexus host is Ren (the one who use normal Junis is Himeya). This form have a braces that can be used to create the bow and arrow attack along with using it as a sword (something like Mebius but the blade is shorter). This form have more of an increased speed rather than strength (but it seems to be more because of Ren fighting style rather than Junis Blue trading his strength for speed. It also shown that Nexus turn from Anphan, Junis, Junis Blue and then lastly, Ultraman Noa which mean Junis Blue is just an evolved Junis).
His complete form.. Ultraman Noa is one of the legendary ultraman along with likes of King, Legend or Saga.. and the one who give Zero the Ultimate Aegis to defeat Arch Belial and ability to travel to other universe..

Some people don't recognize how manly badass and courageous Ultraman Nexus is. He is by far is the only Ultraman I know that doesn't need an assistance of an another Ultra to defeat his enemies

@@ligeringspirit1133 It wasn't the original plot arrangement though. In the original script Dark Mephisto wasn't supposed to show up in Senju Ren's chapter. Instead, Zagi was intended to be in some way the dark side of Noa with Nagi as its host, and there would be an episode (in Nagi's chapter, probably around episode 46 or 47 of the original 52 episode plane) where Mizorogi transforms into Dark Mephisto Zwei (the red-eyed Mephisto) and fight Zagi to stop his rampage (ultimately failed though). To be honest, that would have been a very cool fight as well because fight between two dark Ultras was unprecedented at that point (still rarely happens today). The fight we see it now only happened because they had to cut down the plot.
Who would've imagine that a Tough as All Get Out Ultraman, is actually a God in disguise, or that there were Six Hosts or Deuanamists ( I hope I got the spelling right, and yes, Maki Tsunichi / The Next DOES COUNT, he's Nexus 1 after all... I didn't even know that! ) that were a part of Nexus, I'm surprised that Sayuri Tachibana from X became Nexus for an Episode ( Nexus 6 / Junis Red Version ) or Nagi Sengyo was a Pawn for the arrival of Dark Nagi ( Nexus 4, short lived unfortunately ). But seeing him ( and her ) action proves that an Ultra with a Dual Identity can be the Best of All Worlds. Hopefully Nexus AND Noa will be in The Destined Crossroads later on this Spring, because with the threat of Tartarus and the Absolutian Warriors in pursue of conquering The Land of Light and a possible War looming, you're gonna need the Big Guns, and you can't get no Bigger than Noa....and King...and Legend......and Saga as well, what an awesome and electrifying entry in the UGF Series this will be!
An Update: Nexus and Noa DID return last year in The Destined Crossroads, Episode 6 a couple of weeks ago, the biggest surprise from TDC. From Amphans to Junis Red to Junis Blue to the Ultra God of Light's Eternity himself, what a return! Next year, NEXT YEAR will be the 20th anniversary of Nexus and Noa, hopefully we'll revisit the Series and the First Battle of Dreams. Hopefully he'll return to action in some grand fashion again.

When i still kid and saw some episodes on tv i did noticed the ultra 'host' isnt part of special squad like typical ultras and his expression is always dark, seem like he being thru lot of pain

Im 18 years old, and Ultraman Nexus is by far the best thing i've ever watch; I like pretty much all Ultraman, like Seven, Tiga, Geed, Jack, etc. but Nexus has something really special that i like so much, maybe it is the darker tone that evolve into this hopefully message about "never give up" alongside the characters and some other stuff that encorage this message even more.
Up until now, this series and this specific hero is something that really encourages me in a rather indirect way, an image of a hero who can suffer and who can cry, but who in the end will always try to get up and stand once again, because you are not alone.
