Real submarine schedule is 6 on 6 off 6 in the rack. 12 hour schedule is port and starboard and you do that when ur undermanned or your cranking in the galley
Also would recommend messing around with silent hunter 3 you could use silent hunter 5 and it's very similar to uboat but it has issues that you need to heavily mod it. Both will teach you how to rapidly do TDC.
If a friendly sub is at the same convoy you're given the option to command it to attack and retreat. You also get full credit for any tonnage they sink while you're there with them.

Few comments - nice air kill, also agree that Wolfpack is an amazing TH-camr on a bunch of games. Good quick attack - 2 torps, couple of rounds - you've only used 3 torps so far this patrol. Your tonnage upon returning to port should be juicy. Your call of course, but take out that honking destroyer brother - you take him out (and the patrol boat) and the convoy is your b!tch.
Regarding your query about whether working with other u-boats is a thing in this game: I do believe there is a campaign (The Black Pit) coming later on where you can coordinate attacks in this way.
Can get a lot of kill opportunities this close to England but will also be well within reach of the airfields. Should definitely keep an eye on the sky.
Umm interesting how you did your crew roster, I pretty much left it as default but looking at yours here it looks like it would be beneficial especially with an overlap (which weirdly never crossed my mind yet its what I have done with my Cpt and XO) I now have 7 officers ha ha with my Cpt and XO on 6 on 6 off however they overlap 1 hr per shift. My Chief Engineer and 2 mechanics are on 4 hr shifts with my CE and main mechanic on alternate shifts with my 3rd mech over lapping each of them so he is basically providing cover but his main duty for the torps. (New schedule as just got the xtra mechanic so may change) My radio/Sonar guys are also on 4hr shifts but no overlapping and priority is for sonar over radio. Now into my 4th patrol Nov 39 and never had any issues with tiredness from the officers, though I have lowered their tasks on some roles like 1 for card playing. Anyway catching up and enjoying this so far looking fwd to whats coming up.
Well timed dual attack, next time, try a well timed tri (3) attack :D BTW, when attacked by planes, you should, at the last moment go hard about left or right, and change speed.
I've played a bit of the second campaign there, I'm dying a lot... I keep getting hits on a ship and then when I turn and burn the destroyers catch up to me and blow me to hell. (I did also strand myself outside the Spanish port). I'm taking it slowly but I feel like the tutorial hasn't done a job at all of preparing for half the stuff that can happen.
Good tactics. I still recommend you manage your officers so they are relatively fresh at critical times. For example, your hydrophone op was very tired on this video and he would do a much better job if rested. Great video series though. Much fun to watch.
@@crazedjester No schedule. Here is what I do: Captain - On observation during daylight if surfaced. Fills in on nav. (which I keep above 80%) as needed. Attack periscope during attack runs. Botswain - On obs. during daylight if Captain needs a rest. Otherwise on nav., playing cards, or resting. On observation scope during attack runs. Radioman - Always well rested so I have him on hydrophones when submerged. Engineers - Always one on the engines. Switch to keep their rest in the green. One warms fish as soon as we have contact. I assign one crewman to each officer at all times. I assign one additional crewman to either daytime observation (Cpt), working engines, or warming/loading fish as needed. Also, everyone gets coffee at the start of an attack run as needed. I almost never have an officer go below green rest level. It's probably micromanaging. but it keeps my readiness up. Good hunting.
