This video is outstanding!! THANK YOU to both of you for being Godly parents who are focused on raising your kids to have a Biblical worldview. This was such a needed discussion between you and Randy and since this interview isn't on the Masterbooks TH-cam channel, it's a hidden gem here on TH-cam. I was searching for MB moms on TH-cam as I would love to see more MB reviews and flip-throughs and I found your channel. I too am in the MB app and I recognized your name immediately, so I quickly clicked your channel and am so thankful I found this video! =) Thank you for your passion and commitment to disciple your kids, not just homeschool them. I know of many homeschoolers, but I often feel alone in our commitment to intentionally disciple our kids. It's so encouraging to know that parents like you are out there keeping the eternal perspective in mind!
And Nereida! When you had your rant near the end about Language Lessons, Foundations in Faith, and the talk with the Mormons, wow!! What a beautiful testimony to all of those MB courses! We've been using MB since 2019, but sometimes I still doubt some of the courses. But everything you said was so encouraging and reminds me to stay the course! How awesome for you to witness the fruit of your labor in your children!!
And THANK YOU Mike for being such a godly dad and for pursuing godly, Biblical, fatherhood with passion! Men are being degraded in our culture so it is so encouraging to actually see men standing firm on the convictions to be godly fathers!

Thank you so much for your encouragement!! It was a blessing to wake up to such kind encouraging words! You are a blessing! Randy was awesome to talk to! He has a lot of wisdom as you know!
We are so thankful you have been encouraged to keep strong in fighting the good fight of faith. You are so right that there are many homeschoolers but not many committed to true discipleship homeschoolers. But it’s encouraging and beautiful that there are others who understand our responsibility and duty to actively raise up our kids to know Christ. Jesus will bless our laboring for him and promises that His word will not come back void. Our kids are not perfect and of course have their struggles like any of us but God has been so gracious to our family! MB resources have really aided us in discipling our kids for him. The Word of God, the apologetic resources and curriculum from MB have been a huge part of our lives to know Christ, grow in our faith, and defend it. I truly believe the MB courses get better with high school. When you set good boundaries, expectations, and atmosphere/routines when the kids are younger it’s so much easier in the high school years. The high school years is when you do see the fruit of all that you sowed. Of course, I wish I could have been better at this looking back but again God is still faithful even when we feel like we fall short. The high school years have the best discussions!
Jesus works with us being faithful and He really does do the rest. Keep on doing what you are doing. I think it’s normal to feel doubt in different stages but if the Lord has led you here remember this:
Isaiah 30:21
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
Mike is very thankful for your encouragement!! You are so right about godly fathers and this culture! They need more encouragement because I think it can feel very lonely for men too. It’s so encouraging though that even though we are not in the same area we share the same heart and mindset for the Lord and raising children for him. I honestly think that is one of the main reasons the MB app community is so unique and special, we all have that heart for discipleship. It’s truly one of a kind online community! ❤️
