Bill Hicks was great, his fans, however, tend to be colossal bellends
Exactly! I get so tired of these rabid fanboys who treat Hicks like some sort of deity.
+MultiUnreal I agree, even though as far as comedians go, Hicks was somewhat of a deity, but that doesn't mean that knobhead fans should stick up for him mercilessly, acting as though Hicks couldn't stand up for himself, he would've fucking hated those fanboys, if he was here today, I'm sure he'd have something to say about them
Clive is a great interviewer as long as he's interviewing someone who can keep up with his wit and laugh off any of the comments he makes ( which of course are all in jest and the interviewee should realize this ) and Bill knows this. Hence its a great interview.
there was a point in my life,where...comedy (to my perception) had evolved so high, and got so sophisticated....that i thought there was nothing and no one in the world that could make me laugh anymore...
untill...i discovered sir Bill Hicks :)))
Anderson i good in this video. Hicks was a very smart and funny man. I love his style.
Seems to me Clive and Bill are getting along just fine! Bill is enjoying himself at least. I love this, very funny interview!
If Bill magically appeared to be alive today, what do you think his opinion of the world, the internet, and sites like this would be?
You guys are cool, and Bill Rocks on!!!
best interview with hicks i have seen
@DogWalkingTall
Hey, why the hostility? Did Clive Anderson run over your puppy or something?
Hicks would’ve hated trump like hell
"well you english guys got those accents" LOL
That was a very nervous interview years ago that seemed to settle as Bill got to do a few lines from his routine. I don't think Clive Anderson's frantic delivery suited Bill's laid back persona but at least some of Bill's outlooks on life translated well into the UK audience. I think this is why Bill did very well here in the UK and was more appreciated here than in his native US.
@ogdroadsong he loved england as he felt the british acctually understood his witty remarks and sence of sarcasm
Hah I was expecting a standard american stlye conservative prick when I read "If you don't know Clive Anderson you can save time by hating him now.", but this was one of the best Hicks interviewer's i've seen! Good stuff, we lost Hicks in his prime... :(
i LOVE how this genius' brilliance (bill hicks) just so happens to be used for a movement called the zeitgeist movement for their views on how to fix the world and it was all based on a lie the movement of course and yet i find every bill hicks stand up show i have ever watched i feel as if it were a lie he would've told during a joke he said it as truthfully and morally as one uncorrupt human could have...gotta love the guy
genuinely heart-warming interview. bill seems relaxed, and clive is clive - a truly sharp and witty mind who's job it is to interview -yes- but also to make people laugh, and anyone that can get bill laughing is ok by me.
I thought Alex was a Christian
Not, repeat NOT Alex jones.
hahaha a good interview. Bill doesnt back down or get caught out.
The best American comics all love British comedy, and acknowledge its uniqueness.
He was a one trick pony who's laughing now!
*now? We are. At you.
Why? Clive is sharp as hell and Hicks loved it!
I don't hate Clive Anderson now to save time. I don't really find Clive funny, sucky, rude, or anything because I can't understand a fucking word he says. English accent? More like a serious speech impediment.
RIP Bill. Way too young. The first American comedian that genuinely made me laugh. I loved his full on 'smoking' routine.
Oh, he's not resting in peace, for obvious reasons.
@@GaryM67-71 why's that?
He did find England and although this was a brief interview and not a performance from a long time ago people worldwide are slowly catching up to this wonderful madman's art.
