- I didn't include one from the comic 'DCeased' where a techno-virus kills Darkseid, or rather turns him into a zombie or a very close approximation to a zombie. I didn't consider this a death as he is just infected with a techno-virus, and if the virus is cured he'll just return to normal like the others who've been cured. But some people do count it and in retrospect I should have mentioned it at least. And we see him return in the sequel comic 'DCeased: Dead planet' for those who haven't read it yet.

I love how with darkseid and Superman it’s always this massive fight that can destroy planets, and Batman’s win was just “he shoots him”

You also misunderstood Darkseid's "death" in JLD -- it's mentioned in the movie itself that the portal would trap Darkseid in another dimension. Trigon goes along willingly, for the chance to beat up on Darkseid for all eternity.

One error: Darkseid went straight to earth after gathering his army in JLU. New Genesis would've been his next target.
Darkseid and Luthor were said to merge with the Source Wall after JLU so they can't return.
They both come back in the animated JLU universe comics

I like to think Darkseid would have been happy knowing that High Father would have to taint himself to Darkseid's level to win.
In that particular movie, the moral alignments of the warring factions were reversed -- Darkseid/Apokolips were good, while High Father/New Genesis were evil.

According to Dwayne McDuffie, both Lex Luthor and Darkseid were absorbed into the Sourcewall as a result of Luthor discovering the Anti-Life Equasion.

Everyone overrates darkseids multiverse fall. There was a lot that needed to happen in order for darkseid to actually threaten the entire multiverse. Besides he’s shown no other feats that puts him above the likes of trigon and other powerhouses. That stuff is pretty casual for them

Late to the party, but I love the DCeased one. He kidnaps Cyborg to extract part of the Anti-Life equation from him, and tries to supplement the other half with the Death Racer, but it corrupts the equation, making him go mad and claw his face out before jumping into Apokolips' core and blowing it all up! It's brutal!
Cyborg is pretty clear in Apokalips war that he basically sent them into an endless void of nothingness. Also, Trigon is definitely stronger than Darkseid.

If I remember right the creators actually gave an answer to what happened after Luthor and Darkseid disappeared with the antilife equation. They became part of that wall of stone faces circling the universe which is supposedly the fate of everyone who solves the equation. There were plans to bring them back in a later season but the series wasn't renewed after that.
My favorite is from apocalypse war, darkseid finally encountered a villain that is not only at least as powerful as he is but also willing to fight darkseid. Seriously, darkseid only landed 2-3 hits on trigon throughout that fight and they were all on Superman’s body

The whole "You never see the REAL Darkseid because this is merely a projection" thing was debunked by a major Darkseid writer (possibly Morrison himself, I forgot).
On Twitter, the writer rather pragmatically argued that, from a storytelling standpoint, it would be a bad idea to withhold the "real" Darkseid from readers because it would constantly lower the stakes if Darkseid felt so disinterested in conquering Earth he never bothered to roll out of bed.
I wish more people knew this.

@Jakeyjakey Yes, but the whole "infinite escalation" thing was why I never got into comics as a kid--I just couldn't get emotionally involved when things were A) so insanely complicated, and B) the stakes didn't seem emotional, they seemed gimmicky and annoying.
It's like, if you woke up one night to find a gun pointed in your face, you wouldn't roll over and go back to sleep because it was "just" one person in danger.

If I remember correctly this "Darkseid" is really just some kind of vessel that he uses to actually do anything outside of where he really is because by just existing in our universe he would just destroy it with his presence and so he made a little Darkseid so he can do what he needs to do without making that universe to go nuclear

I think there was this one instance in the JL Injustice x He-Man crossover, in which Darkseid's essence is absorbed by a very powerful magical artifact. Now I don't really remember if he ever comes back from this, but I'd count this as a death or atleast still as a defeat.
The Magic Artifact was the Anti-Life Equation shaped in a Gauntlet form (probably to Homage the Infinity Gauntlet) and Darkseid didn't got absorbed by it

Note that there’s a caveat for Darkseid “deaths” in that most of them are avatars. It’s mentioned near the end of the video, but if you consider the animated and video game stuff as part of the wider DC multiverse it retroactively applies to those ones as well except for Highfather’s backstabbing.

There is a tv series named gods and monsters chronicles it has 3 episodes , each episode are 5 minutes long and it has the heroes doing their job before they met each other
If anyone wants to know what happened to Darkseid and Lex at the end of Justice League unlimited, from what here it was supposed to end with both of them being trapped in the source wall and screaming in agony.
I think my favorite is the Justice League tv show death. First off because the related shows were my first introduction to DC characters along with the Lois and Clark live action tv series. But also because it's the only one where Darkside is not invading earth/being invaded. Everyone but Braniac is out of there element and off their planet. When you are out of your seat of power is when someone is most vulnerable to being killed in both the real world and fiction.
