I know this post is a bit old, but in case anyone needs to know. This machine is over 20 years old. It has tons of plastic parts. The slightly older versions (around 30 to 35 years old)of these machines are excellent and much easier to use. They sell for around $30, because they contain fewer plastic parts that can still break any time and are no longer made. Straight from a shop visit to insure cleanliness and proper lubrication: $50 to $60. (The shop visit should be around $150). This is the newer model, therefore it contains more plastic and is more difficult to get into for service. (Many machines of this era were supposedly designed to not need lubrication.)If your machine is working quite well, it's worth about $35, tops. If you're not sure if it's working , please take it to Goodwill, someone else may be able to bring it to proper usage condition. Basically, if it's working it's better to keep it around, because it's doubtful it will bring enough money to pay your next phone bill.
Sewing speed range can be varied by the control which is located either beside machine socket or on foot control. For high speed range , set the switch at "High" mark.
I have had this exact model for 20+ years. Love it. It also does have a needle threader.
Thank you for sharing, I’m looking at this second hand and wanted to see it work. Appreciate you sharing❤
