I think the reason it's not an available file is that this isn't really a template. I looked into the Patterson method of outlining and even took the Master Class course. It's a pretty no frills method where you just write a paragraph summary of what the chapter will contain. He also writes out how he wants the reader to feel. Patterson says that this method can take him weeks or months and he can go through 5 drafts of the same outline until he gets it right. One of the things he says a lot is to simply write the story, not the sentences. Focus on what's happening in the story at that point and tell it in its rawest form. That being said, his outline does contain actual dialogue, lines he was inspired to write that set the tone for the chapter. Really it's a method that you don't really need Plottr for, and his own example is just plain text on the page. But I think using Plottr makes it cleaner and easier to navigate.
Excellent conversation!
Thanks for this, Troy and Alan :)
Glad you found it helpful!
Is there a copy of this template somewhere? Is this in Plottr itself?
