I'm Canadian and even I knew that. The VP is a supportive role and member of the cabinet/senate meant to advocate the President's policy agenda, not their own. But then, JD also didn't seem to know who won the 2020 election. @tamle4092 lol, the VP pick matters, and that's why the candidates get to choose them as their successors, but the speaker is chosen by congress, which doesn't have to aline with the same party as the president or VP like now. Mike Johnson is a hard core republican. In reality, the president could pick anyone they do not have to be in the same party, it just makes sense to do it that way because usually the values aline that way.

@tamle4092 lol, the VP pick matters, and that's why the candidates get to choose them as their successors, but the speaker is chosen by congress, which doesn't have to aline with the same party as the president or VP like now. Mike Johnson is a hard core republican. In reality, the president could pick anyone they do not have to be in the same party, it just makes sense to do it that way because usually the values aline that way.

The criticism is that Kamala has all these ideas and things she’ll change, then why hasn’t she done it with Biden? Does Biden disagree, does he think they are bad policies? Or is she just a liar?
The same reason as to why a lot of things don't get done... Congress. People seem to forget that the President has limited power, and the vice President having little to almost none. They can speak about what they want to do all they want. Those are the policies they would LIKE to enact. In today's political arena, getting the two parties to agree on anything basically makes issues a non starter. Both sides use policy discussion the same way they use attacks, to get votes.. That's why both sides have no problem being hypocrites.

They know what goes on, what kinds of decisions have to be made, they get to provide their input, they know what kinds of decisions were made and what the results were, etc. but at the end of the day, the decisions made are those of the president, not the vp.
Fairly, Harris cannot be said to have more executive experience than Trump. He was actually the president. She’s only been VP. Now, she has a bunch of experience in government that he doesn’t have - being a senator, being an AG, being a DA, etc. but she doesn’t have more executive experience than him.
