Skate vids got me into so much good music as well as actually turning me on to how great hip-hop was when I was mostly into metal and rock… I’ll always be a skater first even tho my ole knees can’t actually do it anymore
@mixingmasteringonline for sure man. Your videos been part of my Friday morning routine. I'm sure your channel will blow up soon. Music nerds like me love the stuff 😎
A collab with "The Prodigy" would have been insane, the punks of hip hop vs the punks of electronica. I know the two groups had their differences over the "Smack my b.... up" track but a collab between the two groups would have gone crazy.
Thank you! I wish I did, I would like to expand on some of my favorites (like this one) in the future though. It’s tough getting a video out each week as there’s only so much I can fit in so ‘directors’ cut version s in the future I reckon.
Im a Petitpas going back to the 14th century. Before that it was Masse. The first 3 sons were all named Jean Baptiste Masse. First son got the name Second son took on Jean Baptiste Petitpas. Meaning small stature or gait. I cant remember what third son became
eh. Hello nasty had too much going on, sure. but it had more cool synth stuff. they did begin to just kinda simp out on lyrics tho. id say all of their albums from the 80s n 90s were incredible, and equal in a way. everything after that, was like.... just good, with highlights, but not great. funny how once Mario left, things changed. same w hurricane.
What! License To Ill, their first album, had a bunch of songs that would definitely count as juvenile and given their age when they recorded the tracks, it is hardly surprising. However, I will contend their later album, including Ill Communication, show a musical maturity beyond their years.
Paul’s Boutique
Check your head
I’ll communication
One of the best 3 album run in music
Thanks- I could probably watch an hour doc on this record, every tune means something
They peaked with this one.
My favorite Beastie Boys album.
Pauls Boutique, Check your Head and Ill communication all really influenced my musical taste. Also skate videos.
How about Mike Carrol's part in 'Plan B - Questionable' (1992)? 3 tracks from Check your head.
I own each album and a few others.

Like the Beastie Boys you too have a multi genre style. I love you don't only make videos on one style. Another great one 🤙
Thank you! 😃 glad its appreciated 🙏

Cheers man! Made for music nerds by a fellow music nerd! 🤙
My favorite beasties record
Paul's all day
I like Check Your Head is better
Drums still sounds great on this album to this day
Awesome album.... RIP MCA 🙏🇦🇺
So cool to see this, now the music is becoming more than a song. Thank you for the insights into what made me be me. ❤
The sampling and live musicianship are working on an abstract level, but that shit still hits. It’s a sweet album.
A true musical Masterpiece! PLAY LOUD
BY THE WAY....IF EVERYBODY TOOK RECORDING MUSIC AS SERIOUSLY AS THESE CAT'S IN HIP HOP......
Wind your neck in, dummy. Take a nap, it's going to be ok.

Funky Shit is nice consolation prize. But that would have been an incredible collaboration!
That was great ! Thanks !
Thank you!
Love it, thanks.
Thank you!
brilliant! a video on The Police or Mk.Gee would be great too!
Thank you! I want to do the Police really soon, I was thinking about Regatta De Blanc today coincidentally.
listen all y'all it's a cat massage
“Get it together”
Love Sabotage 🤘
Cool video. Thanks.
Thank you!
It's a shame when people only know the Beastie Boys for "Fight for Your Right" (and maybe "Intergalactic").
most people know ‘Sabotage’ and ‘So Watcha Want’
@@Paul-dw2cl Yes to Sabotage
❤❤❤❤
Please tell me you have another 80 minutes of this video you’re going to put out. Absolutely incredible work.
Thank you! I wish I did, I would like to expand on some of my favorites (like this one) in the future though. It’s tough getting a video out each week as there’s only so much I can fit in so ‘directors’ cut version s in the future I reckon.
Nice idea to put the amp in a sound treated box. Simple but effective....
Rip Yauch
Hey!
Hondos are no joke

their style is Hardcore
Done in "just" six months? "Just"?
Great job I only wish it was 90 minutes and not 9.
Thank you, me too!
"the paul"
For the record The Atwater space basketball hoop wasn’t 10 ft. More like 9 and change.
Why is an English lad telling us about our music?
cuz we been been slacking. 'Murica got too high on its own supply.
Who is talking?

@@williammarshburn HN i never could get into. i like HSC much better than HN or TT5B. waiting for the unreleased stuff.
Hello Nasty is Adrock’s favorite Beastie Boys album
Great album but the jazz/funk tracks... I could take it or leave it.
the albums were cool but a bit juvenile.

Maybe do real naration next time. The ai voice really fucked this up saying shit wrong.
