Kiwi, you are so amazingly talented. Honestly, the improvised/from memory aspect made it *better*, because it came across a lot more naturally because you were having to think more in the moment.
I actually put off listening to it until the next day after release because I wanted to give it full attention and even then, you absolutely smashed it out the park.
I am no involved and probably would be never be involved in something like this, but God I wanna rip my heart out

30:51 May we take a second to appreciate how she puts it in the script where we, the audience/her ex begin to visibly cry pretty much 30 minutes in after things have mostly been resolved(ish). Speaking from experience as a recently turned 19 year old guy, during the few arguments me and my ex had, whenever we'd repair the issue/conflict is when id let out tears because during the moment of conflict, I'm not only trying to be strong for her but naturally it's also me just putting my guard up. But as soon as I am able to be vulnerable, it all just lets out
It also is somewhat due to the whole "men crying shows weakness" has been sorta welded in my head so i instinctively avoid doing it, even tho i personally don't believe in that

This hit right home, it's way too realistic. Brought back some very sad memories. And although I was forgiven as well, the wounds couldn't heal. After doing something so horrible I think it's better to leave the other person alone, I wish I did. Also in the description you wrote that you deleted the script and improvised, which "made it feel all over the place". You'd be surprised but I think that made it a lot more impactful.

This reminds me so much of Good Will Hunting the movie, about a guy who falls in love with a girl but because of past abuse and abandonment he pushes the girl away.
However it does have an optimistic ending.
If this were me and if I was the guy, I would say, you don't have to forgive me, if you'll let me be in your life let's move on with the thought this did happen.
And lets talk about are feelings whenever we are feeling un certain the good and the bad.
And take everything slow don't pick up where we left off let's just slow it all down one day at a time.
I understand on both sides trust has to be developed again and it will take time.

I fear this is going to be a long one but here I go.
First of, your performance was absolutely amazing, no questions asked and the fact it's improvised - there's been a script as a basis i know, but still - incredible!
In terms of topic I'm split as I had the exact situation - different reasoning - almost a decade ago with my girlfriend/ex at the time. This felt like a flashback and that feels... weird.
Knowing what I do now I would have taken the leave at the door, back then I didn't. I pushed her to the point of trying again and one year later things crumbled and we had a falling out to no contact. Since I can't get her side of the story I'm assuming we couldn't build the trust we thought we could and I didn't change as much as I thought I would.
In the end I was young, dumb, broken and it was a lesson learned the hard way. I regret all my actions back then as much as how much hurt I must have put her through.
I know she hasn't forgiven me and maybe never has, she told me as such last time we wrote years ago and that's okay, sometimes things don't work out and maybe sometimes they do, but not in my experience.

Infortunately, and this might be my unpopular opinion, but even with the Listener explaining themselves and their past, and their reason for leaving, i wouldnt forgive them. I couldnt. I almost feel like hes trying to force them back together instead of taking whats being said and leaving. I dont feel like a good resolution is deserved, even with him pouring everything out.
It took too long, he was afraid, he couldnt talk to her about it because he was afraid of still being alone. Look where that put him. She doesnt want him back, so him saying that hell come back every week to try again isbl not only scary, its downright forceful, especially once shes decided she doesnt need him anymore and doesnt want him.
Our boy doesnt deserve anything good from this one.

not long ago my girlfriend break up with me because i suddenly stop giving her attention because i was depressed because my friend kill himself infront of me i didn't talk about that first and when she come back to ask me how i was i told her that story she feel bad leaving me and she want to be back but i didn't want to be back, because i wasn't strong to save my friend, so i am not going to be strong in relationship. i gotta say thank you for that audio it reminded me on how strong i should be in a relationship and talk about everything and not just ignore it and do worst!

It's not a good feeling, but even if you are in love, if you know it's gonna end up very badly for you, then you gotta RUN. Not walk, not try to find a way around it, RUN. I did it to the last one I was with because I was studying to become an EMT (got my certification last July). I had to SPRINT for that door and get the hell out because she was on my mind at the most random times, including the most inappropriate times, which was when I was studying for my registry exam. I was still studying and I knew if I didn't end it the very next day, (I even planned on ending it with her at 9:30 that morning), that the door would slam shut, never open again and that she was gonna pop into my head in the field, and that it was gonna land me in the courtroom and possibly prison. In the medical field, you're expected to perform your duties without flaw.
