      Hello,
The verse is telling us how to deal with nashiz (roughly translated to disobedient) women.
And it givea us a step by step process.
The Quranic is understood through the actions of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him
and he never hit a woman or a servant in his life time.
The hitting in this verse is understood to be with a toothbrush to indicate that the marriage got to the last stage.
After it divorce is going to happen.
In a nutshell we are not allowed to hit our wives or harm them.
If you study how we interpret the Quran you're not going to have any issues with the verses.
Even reading the verse without focusing on one word you can see the context is giving you stages to show the woman that you are displeased with her.
      Hope that answers it.
      Have a good day.

      Is the term used.
      As a native Arabic speaker.
I'm well aware of what the verse is saying.
It's what the verse says and what we understand from it is what I told you and gave you evidences.
You attach a different understanding that is not in the verse.
That is on you not in the Quran.
The Quranic text interpretation method is given in the Quran.
One of the ways is to follow the Sunnah.
Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who reciteth unto you Our revelations and causeth you to grow, and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom, and teacheth you that which ye knew not. 2:151
So even if you misunderstood you can use the tools given to us by God to understand the text correctly.

You're not smart enough to understand written words.
It's kind of hard to me to believe that you can hold a relationship.
These steps are to prevent divorce.
      not to start it 🤣🤣

@@Pancakegr8 The Ayah supposedly stating that a man can beat or hit his wife is misunderstood, misrepresented, and mysoginistically translated:
The word “wadriboohun” (وَاضرِبوهُنَّ) [4:34], is the same VERB used in Surat AlBaqarah [2:26], “yadriba” (اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَسۡتَحۡـىٖۤ اَنۡ يَّضۡرِبَ مَثَلً). In the first case it is often translated as “hit” or “strike”, whereas in the second case the same verb is translated as “give”, “present”, “cite”, “advise” and so on. So why would it mean “hit” in the first case, when the Prophet (peace and prayers of Allah be upon him) told us to treat our wives in the best manner?
Furthermore the same verb “darab” is used in modern Arabic to mean “throw out” or “dispose of” or “get rid of”, for example to throw something in the trash; get rid of unwanted items from the home and so on. So we can read the ayah as meaning to throw the wife out of the home or get rid of her (meaning separate from her or divorce her so that she no longer lives with the husband).
Also cf. verse 18:32 where the same word appears:
      وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم (wadrib lahum)
Here it means “give them/present to them/set forth to them/propound to them (the parable/example)”.
Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, never struck a woman or a servant or an animal. He never beat anyone for any reason and he never hit anything unless he was defending himself in battle.
      Aisha (ra) reported:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not strike a servant or a woman, and he never struck anything with his hand.

‏The ethic of Islam conquest, beautiful story must read and pass to others, jazak allah Khair.
‏A lot of rumors spread about the founder of Samarkand. Some referred to the mother of its founder, Kikaus ibn Kaykubad, and others indicated that its founder was Alexander the Great. Concerning the Islamic conquest and the Mongol invasion and many of the various historical events that made it one of the prominent cities that many seek to know its true story, and through the following we explain the events of the Islamic conquest of Samarkand.
‏During the caliphate of the Commander of the Faithful Omar bin Abdul Aziz, may God have mercy on him, and in the year 87 AH, 705 AD, Samarkand was conquered by Qutayba bin Muslim al-Bahili, who was known for his great strength and various conquests, and Samarkand was conquered next to the territory of Transoxiana.
‏But Qutaiba had conquered the country without inviting the people of Samarkand to Islam or taking a tribute from them, and he did not give them three, as was the custom of the Islamic conquests.
‏As soon as the letter reached the Sultan and he read it, he ordered Qutaiba bin Muslim to be summoned to the Judicial Council in order to investigate the matter, and in the Judiciary Council, the boy called: (O Qutaiba!) without using any titles.
‏The judge asked the Samarkandian priest about his complaint, so the priest told him that the Muslim army led by Qutaiba had attacked the city without prior warning, and did not invite the people of the city to Islam or demand a tribute. And many countries around them refused to convert to Islam or pay the tribute.
‏The judge indicated that this hadith is Qutaiba’s admission of his guilt, and thus the court ended, and the judge said: “O Qutaiba, God has not helped this nation except by avoiding treachery and establishing justice.” For this reason, the judge ruled that the Muslim army will leave Samarkand, and it will expel the Muslims, children and women who entered it with the conquest, and that Muslims should warn its people before the conquest.
‏The priest did not believe the mother, and returned to tell the people of the city and the priests about the matter and narrate what he saw in the Muslim countries, and a short time after the issuance of the ruling, he heard the voices of Samarkand, voices rising and flags waving, and it was said that the ruling had been implemented and the Muslim army was withdrawing from the city.
‏After these events and the confirmation of the validity of Islam and that it is the religion of truth, the priests of Samarkand and the people of Medina came out in crowds towards the Muslim camp while chanting the shahada (testimony that there is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God).
‏After that, some temples in Madinah were transformed into mosques for performing prayers, and teaching the people of Madinah the teachings of Islam
‏As for the Abbasid era, the city reached its most prosperous days, and this was during the era of the Caliph, who relied on God, and the Caliph had adopted Samarkand as the capital of the country beyond the river, and it continued as the capital of the country until the era of Prince Ahmed bin Ismail, who adopted Bukhari as the capital of the country.
‏From this point of view, the two cities were able to become of a vigorous period that bears many distinctive social and civilizational cultures, and the country continued to flourish until a time under the rule of Al-Khwarizmiya during the reign of Sultan Alaeddin Muhammad bin Takash, who invaded beyond the river and took control of Samarkand in the year 606 AH. 1209 AD.

Does it say in the Quran that Allah protected it by peoples memorization? No, so this logic of thinking is wrong. The Quran did however say that Allah will protect the Quran from corruption. But using peoples logic or understanding is wrong. We now know how Allah protected the Quran from corruption. By the number 19 Allah imbedded in the Quran. Surah 74:30 - 74:37.

9:45 In the Hadith Akhi not Quran. If you meant historical miracles in the Quran then you would have meant to say 'Allah speaks about x events in the future'.

Is it permissible to stare at a woman - like you do - when the Quran says to lower your gaze?
O Prophet!˺ Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do

the idea that women create life is shortsighted, women harbor and adopt the life that Allah Almighty blesses us with. even if a woman went to the extents to have a child without the involvement of a man she would still need something.. therefore it's not creation, creation is from nothing. only Allah is capable of such magnificence.

Bible has a free transmission in ways of preservation of many thousands of churches copying the texts some in their own languages, so texts differ from culture to culture, but the essence of contexts along with the meaning of the stories/commandments/etc are very much intact.
Act 1:1, and you have 20 Manuscript just for that 1 verse, you can cross reference its authenticity whether if it's been corrupted, this is the gold standard of preserving ancient texts, this mohammad doesn't know what he's talking about.
Moreover, caliph uthman had to burn all the qurans he had gathered from various mosques because it was CORRUPTED, something that allah claims that allah himself will not allow happen, but uthman needed to set a standard from an already corrupted nerrative. It's all in the hadith, you don't have to look deep into if memorizing is a good from of preserving (it is not), just look at what happened throughout the history of islam from their own sources.

Acts is not the gospel. Nobody has any authentic chains for the gospel, the essence is constantly changing. If Matthew burned all the various collections of gospel verse collections, and standardized on a single gospel with authentic chains of narration leading back to him, would you not defend that standardized gospel?

it wasn’t corrupted. Also you just proved our point right he promised it wouldn’t be corrupted so if those scriptures were “corrupted” they got rid of them. The point still stands of oral tradition they never needed the written scriptures until they could finally have enough hafiz to make sure it stays the same. Secondly, burning the Qur’an is the respectful way to get rid of it.

The enemies of Jesus Christ always falsely declare the bible is corrupt, attacking Christian doctrine, deny Jesus as God.( some do repent when encountering this Jesus)
" Jesus says heaven and earth will pass away but my WORDS will NEVER pass away".
" Jesus is the WORD (scripture/Bible) made flesh. Jesus is ALIVE - the holy book also confirm ( We have a relationship with Jesus in prayer)
But the last prophet is DEAD. [ Remember, the last prophet asking his wife, "where am I going after death?"] That's why he needs your daily prayer 5 times a day

You have no evidence of the authenticity of the bible There are numerous versions with different number of books so which bible is correct The Protestant /Catholic/Mormon/Seventh Day Adventist and many others So which is correct There is only ONE Quran no different versions so go and get proof of the pagan beliefs in your bible which was promulgated at the council of Nicea AFTER the ascension of Jesus (PBOH )

Jesus will be against you christians.
Jesus was a sincere and humble servant of God: “And behold! God will say on the Day of Judgment: ‘O Jesus son of Mary! Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods instead of Allah?’ He will say: ‘Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right to say. Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my inner-self, though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. Never did I say to them anything except what You commanded me to say: ‘Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.’ And I was a witness over them while I lived among them. When You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a witness to all things'” (Quran 5:116-117).
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “By Him in whose Hand is my very soul, Jesus son of Mary will soon descend among you as a just judge. He will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizyah (the duty paid by non-Muslims living under the protection of a Muslim country) and the wealth will pour forth to such an extent none will accept charity.” (Bukhārī no. 2222)

I think you get offended at the word “ corrupt “ . It’s only lay Christians really but scholarship has no problem with it. Corrupted just means “ changed” . Of course it has been changed. That’s what “ revised” versions are . It has been confirmed that some verses have been added or omitted etc. Also there are different books eg Catholic / Protestant/ orthodox/ Ethiopian etc.
And so what if our prophet is dead to this world. Like all the great prophets. Like Moses and Noah and Abraham peace on them all. Yeshu was chosen to be lifted and will return. But that is Gods will. Perhaps it is him because he will give the Christians a chance to follow his message ( same as every prophet - one God worship him and follow the laws) as they were deceived so badly. Christians need to see him to believe. Christians always talk of experiencing Christ. Christians have made up their own laws and changed the laws of God by thier own will. They use interest, drink, are not modest in clothing, eat swine , believe in Christmas and Easter pagan rituals and even accept sodomy as a normal practice!!! … so maybe Allah in His mercy had chosen z Yeshu to guide all those at that time back to the straight path?? Maybe at the time Yeshu will complete his mission by becoming a leader, statesman, warrior, judge , husband, father.. giving us all a living example of Gods will .
Mohammed pbuh has already successfully completed all of that. .
