Your Fall River is beautiful!!! I haven't started mine yet...but you inspire me. Hopefully soon! Well done, Stephen!
Loved the shout out! Post whenever you wish. We’ll be patient.
Love the combination of travel report and knitting!
The vest is stunning, beautiful colours for the shawl, I need a cardigan like that!
Great combination of travel, knitting and reading! Such a pleasure to spend time with you, as always. I especially liked your comments about the Holy Grail, and they resonated with me. I was also in Spain in April, where I walked 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago. The history and mysteries of that walk gave me very similar feelings to what you said about the grail.
I'm so jealous that you've walked the Camino, and that much of it too! That's been on my travel dream list since I first learned about it in college almost 30 years ago. And yes, it's really special to take part in something that people have been doing for centuries. So cool that you've done it!
Great to hear about your trip.
I love your tote bag from Portugal. My knitting friend just showed me one similar that she got in Lisbon a few weeks ago.
What a fabulous vest you have made, it is so beautiful.
I bought the book you recommended, now I just need to read it.
Thank you for a great podcast. 😊
So glad you enjoyed the podcast, and I really think you'll love the book. Parkes' writing is really chatty and friendly, an easy but really informative read. Stay tuned for more on the vest! ;)
Wow, what beautiful places you got to visit! The book is downloaded.
Thanks for sharing. I've never been to Spain but I hope to go the Barcelona Yarn fest someday. Good Luck with all your projects.
Thank you! And me too! Friends have gone to the Barcelona event and it looks like a ton of fun -- I haven't made it there myself. This last trip was my first time in Barcelona, but I will definitely go back!
I also loves Toft Animals and my reason starting crochet again. But it is so expensive to get them from the UK.
For example for the pig I payed over 70€ and Toft wanted 25€. Best wishes, Claudia.
Oh wow! I don't think I paid anywhere near that amount, but I picked it up from their boot at Vogue Knitting Live in NYC. so there wasn't all the shipping etc. to deal with.
Nice trip! Cincinnati! Where? Clara Parkes is the bomb! LOVE the vest! Have you been to Shetland? thanks for taking us along.
Shetland is on my bucket list, as is all the rest of Scotland! I've lived in the UK and traveled extensively there...but never to Scotland! My family is all over Cincinnati, but the visit in August will be centered largely around Blue Ash and Colerain.
How far back are you with your german ancestors? Have you found out about ifthey were indeed weavers? Family research is one of my pasttimes too.... and all things yarn :)
I don't really know yet. I've got names going back to the 1700s, but not much on who they were or how they lived.
Thank you for taking us along on your amazing trip. Loved every minute and so happy for you all to have that fantastic experience.
And yarn finds too! Your projects are always wonderful. That vest! What an accomplishment! Look forward to seeing you wearing it. It will be perfect on your trip to England and Ireland.
Enjoy crochet and your family reunion. Best wishes for this busy, busy time.
Many thanks! Trips and reunions are now in the past, and they were all wonderful!
