@@KameronDAaron He was still training maybe not a full training camp. You dont just forget how to wrestle. Also chimaev was preparing for different fighter but nobody talks about that. If it was usman with undefeated record, who knows he would take that risky fight.

I observed this was the Robert interview but you definitely noticed how both of the hosts mention khamzat ability in most of the questions. that's thing shows how khamzat hype is bigger and real. and I'm sure Khamzat will beat and finish to the Robert in June 23rd. and lots of peoples talks about khamzat move up the division is real problem for khamzat and also Robert think this. But we all see how khamzat grabs and takes him down to Usman like a kid. and also won that fight with a broken thumb. Khamzat vs Robert is gonna be a real war but I think khamzat will beat him.

Dude is so freaking overrated man honestly he gasses out early in fights and couldn't even finish a washed up old usman who's way smaller and fought on short notice plus he started losing the fight bad if it would have been 5 rounds he would have lost
Khamzat showed signs of gassing and slowing down in two fights. One he went 3 rounds swinging with burns and the other he completely won a 10-8 round with a former champ and one of the best fighters in usman. Not enough data to say he slows down in fights. He just did alot more in those 2 fights than he ever did. I think rob has the skills to pick him apart if he survives the wrestling but if it goes to decision it could lead to Khamzat

Whittaker grapled with romero whos a far better grappler than chimaev
@matthiasschroder3284 He's not a far better grappler at all. Romero had zero submission threats, didn't really chain wrestle, and didn't control on the ground. You could argue he has better wrestling credentials, but as far as its effectiveness for MMA, they are not even close. He's a bigger version of Henry Cejudo who could get you to the ground but doesn't do much once there, and the cage made it easier to defend, while Khamzat is a live submission threat and has great cage wrestling and control

I have a big hunch that chimeav cannot hang in a five rounder vs a big middle weight like whittaker. He was former champion, been in there with the best of his division, I say he gets a knock out or a TKO either early when chimeavs coming in, or late when chimeavs gassed. I don't think chimeav can hang with true middleweights, and whittaker is big and fast for the division, and doesnt gas. We are gonna really see chimeavs chin tested. Oh and more than 3 bucks

That's being kind. I heard him being called Forest Whittaker twice. First time is easy to find because it was Kenny Florian commentating on one of his earlier fights. Second time was either Rampage or Bisping probably from one of their their podcasts. Forest Whittaker was the hostage in the beginning of the Crying Game who got ran over by a tank I think. His girl was the focus of that Movie.

Romero was 40 years old, had a fused neck and at that time it was 17 years ago since he won his silver medal at the olympics. Romero in his wrestling prime would have smoked khamzat in a wrestling match but 2017 Romero was far removed from his wrestling prime and far worse than he used to be.
