It is unconscionable that Disney raised the price of Genie+ by DOUBLE within the span of a month. My trip was cancelled in Sep/Oct because of hurricane and EVERY week there’s a new price increase so now my trip is at least $300 more than when I had to RE-book!! Unreal and if it happened earlier in my waiting period I would have just cancelled outright.
They’ve taken what should have been my first trip ever and made me not even really want to go
Went with my husband in early Nov we ended up adding 1300 to our trip due to the Hurricane Ian messing up our flights. That being said. We didn't use Genie + and were able to go on every ride we wanted to, maybe not EVERY ride in each park, but like I went on Haunted Mansion 3 times. I was able to get virtual queue for Guardians, no issues. We did have to wait in a few rather long lines (Pandora, Galaxy's Edge,) but we used that time to brainstorm plans for later so it wasn't really wasted time.
Try not to get discouraged, while the price increases suck. You'll have a really great time once you get into those parks and are just surrounded by the Disney Magic which is still there.
I second the other response. You really only need Genie+ in magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios, but if you are going to be at those parks for more than one day OR can get early park entry, you can still get everything done in one day if you plan which rides to rope drop vs. get in line at one minute to close. You are going to have a WONDERFUL time! (Make sure to see harmonious from dead on center and not from the sides).
I must be hitting all the cold snaps in Orlando in Dec & Jan as 99% of the time we’re there it’s cool to very cold. Quincy says it’s hot in December though 🤷♀️ 😂

This is the only Epcot festival I haven’t done yet, and it’s because I would devote an entire trip to it and I just haven’t had the time yet. At least I made it to the DCA Festival of Holidays this year, no “the”, because they like to be different.
If you go to the Eats at the EPCOT in the Odessey building by test track they have treats incld a fantastic Noel Log.

How early would you have to get in line to be able to get into the Candlelight Processional without doing a dining package?
With the popular narrators, we've seen people line up several hours in advance. An hour would be the minimum wait we'd suggest but to guarantee a seat and not spend forever in line, the dining package is the way to go.
Do the Olaf festival gift card bands work anywhere in the disney parks? Or only at festival booths?
I'm pretty sure they work anywhere in Disney world.
A few years ago, Food Wine gift cards were usable like regular gift cards.
So much happening in this video. I wouldn't pay the $15 for Genie+ certainly wouldn't pay more. That peanut stew looked good but I'm a Georgia girl so anything peanut and I'm all in. Just a small point, Hopping John is usually made with black eyed peas, they do use slightly different ones in other parts of the south but mostly black eyed peas. I love all the story tellers, they are my favorite part of the festival. The food at Festival of the Holidays is my least favorite of all the festivals. Way too much sweets.
