I don't use deodorant at all. i put rubbing alcohol in a small spray bottle with 3 drops of peppermint oil and 6 drops of tea tree oil. there is no oder and my sweat doesn't stain my clothes
Kojic acid is a natural skin lightener/brightener. It is derived from fungi, and inhibits the production of an enzyme called tyrosinase which is needed to produce melanin. Loved your video just wanted to share this info for anyone out there!

Oh my goodness! I bought the vanity planet spin brush specifically after watching this video (using her discount code) because I have dark armpits as well. The body spin brush works well on my knees and elbows BUT as soon as I tried touching it to my armpits is hurt SOOOO bad. My armpits might be too sensitive for this routine. But if you have any sort of sensitivity in your armpits I would not use the spin brush for lighting because it left major irritation. HOWEVER I continue to use the spin brush for my face and I love it and it has cleared up my acne scars so well

CeeCee Harris go to a place that specializes in waxing. European Wax Center is great, they use hard wax and not those strips the nail place uses. They have prepaid packages that you can get that last through the year and you pay it off every month.
I have been using your routine and I also switched to toms no aluminum the mango scent I also started waxing which I noticed takes majority of the black dead skin instantly lightening the area I got soo excited at how light my under arms became so fast that I decided to add bleaching cream which instantly made my armpits three shades darker don't do it
B. Christine I self wax the first time I received a wax was from a soo called professional NOT to take anything away from the shop that I went to HOWEVER! I feel who is more equipped to take care of your body than yourself I recommend doing it yourself I used the honey wax from Sally's
I've been doing a diy deodorant for the past 3 yrs by far the best deodorant I have ever used!!! Contains raw coconut oil, arrowroot powder, and bentonite clay.
Natural deodorant, that I have been using for over a yr, that doesn’t stop sweating, but definitely stops the smell is T’eo by Lush. It’s a bar powder type, that is kinda exfoliating. I have tried so many different natural deodorants, and as someone who sweats A LOT and has smelly underarms, this has been the best I’ve ever used.
The deodorant I found that works really well is Crystal. It's comes in scented but it's not heavily scented and it's natural it's a crystal block. I got the roll on one and u don't have to wait until it's dry. It's great. It also doesn't leave too much of a scent so your underarms will just smell like you they won't smell fruity or have any particular nasty smell
I REALLY recommend the Crystal Deodorant (stick form), you can find them really cheap at Marshals sometimes. Ive been using it for almost 4 years and I love it, no irritation or darkness!
lemon juice also helps to lighten (not super fast though) if you dab a little on before a shower, and it also helps to cut body odor especially if you're switching to a natural deodorant. currently I use a brand called schmidt's, I found it on amazon and it works pretty well after you adjust. it costs maybe $8-10. hope this helps!
I am using Schmidt's. The rose-vanilla one. It smells so good but oh my! It darkened my armpits so bad :( did it happened to you? I am so disappointed :( but it really is an excellent deodorant though
Darkening of neck in skin folds can be an indication of diabetes or prediabetes and/ or polycystic ovary disease or other endocrine disease. Especially when the skin is thickened, has skin tags etc. It can be a condition called Acanthosis Nigricans, and it can be serious and needs to be checked by your doctor or Nurse Practitioner. It can signify a serious condition that can be corrected and treated which will cause the darkening and thickening to go away. This sounds like a good temporary solution. But, if you have this condition in the folds of your skin (underarms, groin folds, knees, neck, etc), even if you use these tips to get it to go away, it will come back because your body is trying to tell you something. It is saying, treat the underlying cause, and I will go away. If you love your fans please advise them to see their doctor about this potentially serious condition with a medical cause.
I had hyperthyroidism. The doctor indicated my t3t4 tsh? levels are stable or in normal range. It is connected to hormones level and I wonder if it is connected to these types of things that is happening to my body.

Hi. I lightened my underarm when I started using Florida Water as underarm deodorant and even more so when I changed to using Phillips Milk of Magnesia (mint flavored) as underarm deoodorant. Trust me this is the best underarm deodorant. I am sooo hooked ... and I do not have any underarm odor even on the hottest days .... :)
Great information. I don't have dark underarms because I have hormone issues that don't allow that. When I did I never had dark armpits, but my daughter does. I believe it is because I always waxed and she shaves. I think I will start getting her waxed now. I did however, have dark elbows and knees as well as bumpy arms and lower legs. When I started exfoliating with a good body scrubber that all went away. Now I don't use any soap, shampoo, or conditioner on my skin and hair. Instead I use water to clean my cookie and some soap on my bum. Otherwise I only exfoliate and use an earth based "shampoo" (terrassentials ). My skin is smooth and naturally shiny and my hair has its curl back. For conditioner I use Braggs apple cider with water. The exfoliator I use is only a Korean scrub mitten.
I use lemon wedges as deodorant. It works all day, though I am in the southern USA and when it's 110 heat index, I may have to reapply, but most days, after my shower, I rub a slice of lemon under my arms and go. I also keep a little spray bottle of fresh lemon juice in my purse, just in case.
I've been trying and your videos are actually very clean with information and result. i subscribed!! I decided to wax my underarm because I always felt like my underarm skin hurts after shaving.. Great video. But be careful with Tom's they do put in "virgin" aluminum in their product. Native is ALL natural. A little expensive $12 here in the states but it works well and you don't need that much.
deidreej I like Native best too! I tried Toms, KissMyFace, Schmidts and many more!! 😊 Native is my top choice, but not the unscented. Any other SCENTED one will do!
PLEASE READ! I recently just found out that I had a fungal infection in my underarms/under breasts I've had it for year but didn't know i thought i was just BO ( underarm area). I am also borderline diabetic & PCOS which mean i could have higher levels of sugar in my body.Before knowing i had this issue i TRIED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING WORKED! Even baking soda was burning. It's been a week on fungal cream and off my "natural deodorant" Which contained propylene glycol/Propanediol(antifreeze) (TOMS deodorant has it too) which is a sugar/irritant and is commonly used in natural deodorants to make them stay together and smoother.. Fungi infections LOVE sugar so over the years all i was doing is feeding it without knowing. I've been off it & just using Milk of magnesium / My homemade deodorant/ACV depending on the day i'll use one of the three or a combo. I also changed my body wash (H&S) to pure olive soap with no glycerin. And I have no smell what so ever and my underarms are LIGHTER TOO!!!!! Also wiping with a toner with cotton pad helps get the excess dirt off will help a ton with smell! PLEASE if you use natural stuff please make sure that it is. My homemade deodrant now contains; tea tree oil, beewax, baking soda, coconut oil and jojoba oil. The BS no longer burns at all! and i just waxed my underarms as usual with honey wax and that didnt burn or hurt at all.
I've never seen my underarms this light before. sdkfdsfjs im so happy and this video also has great tips that i was doing before but it never worked 100% So now that i've found the cause these tips help so much more. Also you can just use MOM. Which helps with less sweating. Magnesium is known to help with anxiety and hot flashes sweating. So if you wanted you could get MOM and use it for antiperspirant/deodorant and a laxative if you need ;) Since that is it original use.
I would say it is perfectly fine to use an epilator. An epilator does the exact same thing as waxing just without the wax. I use one regularly and it is great! Much easier than waxing.
When I first began epilating, it hurt so much, I stopped completely. Then I started waxing my pits. Once the hair started thinning out the epilator didn’t hurt as much.
Good video gurl! Informative. I stopped using antiperspirant 2.5 years ago now. It was hard trying to find a natural one that worked all day. Tom's and many other natural deodorants turn my underarms dark. Although its supposed to be natural it has something in it that I'm allergic to. Using something now that kind of works but it's starting to turn my armpits dark also so the quest continues. Exfoliating is great and I also rub in almond oil after exfoliating. Almond oil is a natural skin lightener.
I had been using the lightening soap as well but stopped, & I'm still seeing results just by cutting out shaving (I don't I wax I get laser hair removal), & they're doing great! I want mine to be as light as yours though! Lol

I live in Los Angeles and they have a bunch of different centers here I go to new look skin center in encino. A lot of other people go to sev laser and I assume it's the same kind of treatment. I was worried at first about being burned but the nurses said it's kind of a myth that black women can't get laser. When I go in I never see them change the settings & ive never been burned before. I've been going for almost 2 years & it's the best thing i could've done. I get everything lasered (chin, upper lip, underarms, Brazilian, lower legs) and I've had nothing but great experiences all over. Hope this helps!
I've been using your initial regimen on my underarms and it's been awesome. Even though I've only been doing the routine every other day because it was too harsh on my skin I've noticed substantial lightening of my pits. I didn't change my deoderant or soap but do epilate my underarms now. I do believe the spinbrush was a pivital part of the routine. The one thing I questioned was how long the batteries would last and surprisingly it lasted a good month with regular use. So thanks for the heads up about the brush. It's an amazing buy.

Melanie Pizarro use a bleaching cream instead, the soap can be drying. Easier to control but only use at night and as instucted on affected areas. Lightening creams containing small amounts of retin-a, vitamin c or hydroquinone are also useful and sold over the counter
Jayare hydroquinone creams are not fully safe and make you prone to damage by the sun. They also make you darker if you stop using them. Also people can have severe reactions
Kojic acids soap is not a lightening agent. It’s made from a natural source of some kind and it’s properties help brighten and restore the skin back to its original shade. This soap will only brighten the skin. It is not a lightening soap. I use kojic acid soap all over my body to get rid of my summer tan. I am not consistent so I have not seen any results yet. But I did do some research because I had the same concern. Edit: I meant to add that after you reach your desired shade you can stop using the soap and switch to preventive regimens. Like wearing sunblock and exfoliating often. Sorry to ramble on. I hope this helps someone.

Abby at the rate my nethers have lightened up I would say yes! Just make sure you're wearing comfortable and proper fitting clothing and I think it could work!!

Athiya 1) If you want to remove unwanted hairs, opt for waxing over shaving. As waxing lasts longer than shaving, this also means irritation is MINIMISED. 2) Do NOT go back to using normal deo (those that contains aluminium). 3) Exfoliate it every few days. (Again, be gentle when exfoliating. Acids are GREAT.) The main point is to avoid causing too much irritation. Irritation will cause your pits to go darker because it is your skin trying to heal itself. Think of it like a pimple. People will tell you not to pick pimples because that will surely cause either dented scarring or dark/red marks from where your picked pimple was. Same principle applies to your pits (and overall skin, actually).
I was at marshals today and picked up black African soap and a good scrubber to exfoliate. I also waxed my armpits today when I got my nails done so I’m starting this new journey. Going to start a new deodorant tomorrow. Today I just showered and didn’t put on deodorant since I’m home. I’m just worried since I live in Miami, I hope I don’t stank up the room 😖.

What do you think about Aromaco from Lush? I've been using it for about a month and I've noticed it's good if you have sweat and odour problems like me. However I think it kind of stops you from sweating or the sweat and deodorant mix together. Not sure. It's just that when I sweat my clothes don't stain. So I'm not sure if I'm sweating lol. But any reviews or recommendations on Aromaco ??

I learned from the Alexa Likes video to use lemon juice with tea tree oil. It actually works to prevent odour unless it's really hot and lightened the skin a little

Thanks for this video. I detox my armpits with a paste made from Bentonite clay and water (or organic apple cider vinegar). My deodorant is Schmidts Lime and Bergomont. When I miss a day or 2 or 3... it doesn't matter. Also, our diets contribute to the types of odors our bodies emit. COUNT IT ALL PURE JOY!

I think this is awesome. I use Tom's and Arm and Hammer Essentials for my deodorant. As far as the soap goes, I think we need to see your results with time. People who are currently really dark under their arms may still need to use the soap and then can perhaps maintain it with the other things you use after the hyperpigmentation has cleared. You don't need it right now because your hyperpigmentation has already cleared, but is coming back slowly. I hope to be able to do the same as you in a month or so. I am going to start exfoliating as well as continue using the kojie san soap until I am completely cleared. After that, I will probably only use it once every two weeks or once a month to ensure the darkness stays gone.

arm and hammer deodorant helps alot it has no aluminnum and it smells like lemon it's a translucent looking deodorant

I have been using your routine and I also switched to toms no aluminum the mango scent I also started waxing which I noticed takes majority of the black dead skin instantly lightening the area I got soo excited at how light my under arms became so fast that I decided to add bleaching cream which instantly made my armpits three shades darker don't do it
oh no! you shouldn't of used a bleaching cream. At least you know what to do ,to get your armpits back to normal.

Natural deodorant, that I have been using for over a yr, that doesn’t stop sweating, but definitely stops the smell is T’eo by Lush. It’s a bar powder type, that is kinda exfoliating.

The deodorant I found that works really well is Crystal. It's comes in scented but it's not heavily scented and it's natural it's a crystal block. I got the roll on one and u don't have to wait until it's dry. It's great. It also doesn't leave too much of a scent so your underarms will just smell like you they won't smell fruity or have any particular nasty smell
I REALLY recommend the Crystal Deodorant (stick form), you can find them really cheap at Marshals sometimes. Ive been using it for almost 4 years and I love it, no irritation or darkness!

lemon juice also helps to lighten (not super fast though) if you dab a little on before a shower, and it also helps to cut body odor especially if you're switching to a natural deodorant. currently I use a brand called schmidt's, I found it on amazon and it works pretty well after you adjust. it costs maybe $8-10. hope this helps!

Darkening of neck in skin folds can be an indication of diabetes or prediabetes and/ or polycystic ovary disease or other endocrine disease. Especially when the skin is thickened, has skin tags etc. It can be a condition called Acanthosis Nigricans, and it can be serious and needs to be checked by your doctor or Nurse Practitioner. It can signify a serious condition that can be corrected and treated which will cause the darkening and thickening to go away. This sounds like a good temporary solution. But, if you have this condition in the folds of your skin (underarms, groin folds, knees, neck, etc), even if you use these tips to get it to go away, it will come back because your body is trying to tell you something. It is saying, treat the underlying cause, and I will go away. If you love your fans please advise them to see their doctor about this potentially serious condition with a medical cause.
I had hyperthyroidism. The doctor indicated my t3t4 tsh? levels are stable or in normal range. It is connected to hormones level and I wonder if it is connected to these types of things that is happening to my body.

Hi. I lightened my underarm when I started using Florida Water as underarm deodorant and even more so when I changed to using Phillips Milk of Magnesia (mint flavored) as underarm deoodorant. Trust me this is the best underarm deodorant. I am sooo hooked ... and I do not have any underarm odor even on the hottest days .... :)

Great information. I don't have dark underarms because I have hormone issues that don't allow that. When I did I never had dark armpits, but my daughter does. I believe it is because I always waxed and she shaves. I think I will start getting her waxed now. I did however, have dark elbows and knees as well as bumpy arms and lower legs. When I started exfoliating with a good body scrubber that all went away. Now I don't use any soap, shampoo, or conditioner on my skin and hair. Instead I use water to clean my cookie and some soap on my bum. Otherwise I only exfoliate and use an earth based "shampoo" (terrassentials ). My skin is smooth and naturally shiny and my hair has its curl back. For conditioner I use Braggs apple cider with water. The exfoliator I use is only a Korean scrub mitten.
I use lemon wedges as deodorant. It works all day, though I am in the southern USA and when it's 110 heat index, I may have to reapply, but most days, after my shower, I rub a slice of lemon under my arms and go. I also keep a little spray bottle of fresh lemon juice in my purse, just in case.

Great video. But be careful with Tom's they do put in "virgin" aluminum in their product. Native is ALL natural. A little expensive $12 here in the states but it works well and you don't need that much.

PLEASE READ! I recently just found out that I had a fungal infection in my underarms/under breasts I've had it for year but didn't know i thought i was just BO ( underarm area). I am also borderline diabetic & PCOS which mean i could have higher levels of sugar in my body.Before knowing i had this issue i TRIED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING WORKED! Even baking soda was burning. It's been a week on fungal cream and off my "natural deodorant"
Which contained propylene glycol/Propanediol(antifreeze) (TOMS deodorant has it too) which is a sugar/irritant and is commonly used in natural deodorants to make them stay together and smoother.. Fungi infections LOVE sugar so over the years all i was doing is feeding it without knowing. I've been off it & just using Milk of magnesium / My homemade deodorant/ACV depending on the day i'll use one of the three or a combo. I also changed my body wash (H&S) to pure olive soap with no glycerin. And I have no smell what so ever and my underarms are LIGHTER TOO!!!!! Also wiping with a toner with cotton pad helps get the excess dirt off will help a ton with smell! PLEASE if you use natural stuff please make sure that it is. My homemade deodrant now contains; tea tree oil, beewax, baking soda, coconut oil and jojoba oil. The BS no longer burns at all! and i just waxed my underarms as usual with honey wax and that didnt burn or hurt at all.
I've never seen my underarms this light before. sdkfdsfjs im so happy and this video also has great tips that i was doing before but it never worked 100% So now that i've found the cause these tips help so much more. Also you can just use MOM. Which helps with less sweating. Magnesium is known to help with anxiety and hot flashes sweating. So if you wanted you could get MOM and use it for antiperspirant/deodorant and a laxative if you need ;) Since that is it original use.

I would say it is perfectly fine to use an epilator. An epilator does the exact same thing as waxing just without the wax. I use one regularly and it is great! Much easier than waxing.
When I first began epilating, it hurt so much, I stopped completely. Then I started waxing my pits. Once the hair started thinning out the epilator didn’t hurt as much.

Good video gurl! Informative. I stopped using antiperspirant 2.5 years ago now. It was hard trying to find a natural one that worked all day. Tom's and many other natural deodorants turn my underarms dark. Although its supposed to be natural it has something in it that I'm allergic to. Using something now that kind of works but it's starting to turn my armpits dark also so the quest continues. Exfoliating is great and I also rub in almond oil after exfoliating. Almond oil is a natural skin lightener.

I live in Los Angeles and they have a bunch of different centers here I go to new look skin center in encino. A lot of other people go to sev laser and I assume it's the same kind of treatment. I was worried at first about being burned but the nurses said it's kind of a myth that black women can't get laser. When I go in I never see them change the settings & ive never been burned before. I've been going for almost 2 years & it's the best thing i could've done. I get everything lasered (chin, upper lip, underarms, Brazilian, lower legs) and I've had nothing but great experiences all over. Hope this helps!
I've been using your initial regimen on my underarms and it's been awesome. Even though I've only been doing the routine every other day because it was too harsh on my skin I've noticed substantial lightening of my pits. I didn't change my deoderant or soap but do epilate my underarms now. I do believe the spinbrush was a pivital part of the routine. The one thing I questioned was how long the batteries would last and surprisingly it lasted a good month with regular use. So thanks for the heads up about the brush. It's an amazing buy.

Melanie Pizarro use a bleaching cream instead, the soap can be drying. Easier to control but only use at night and as instucted on affected areas. Lightening creams containing small amounts of retin-a, vitamin c or hydroquinone are also useful and sold over the counter
Jayare hydroquinone creams are not fully safe and make you prone to damage by the sun. They also make you darker if you stop using them. Also people can have severe reactions
African Black Soap... wash face with soap and hands ...raise and use a little yellow shea butter..
Kojic acids soap is not a lightening agent. It’s made from a natural source of some kind and it’s properties help brighten and restore the skin back to its original shade. This soap will only brighten the skin. It is not a lightening soap. I use kojic acid soap all over my body to get rid of my summer tan. I am not consistent so I have not seen any results yet. But I did do some research because I had the same concern. Edit: I meant to add that after you reach your desired shade you can stop using the soap and switch to preventive regimens. Like wearing sunblock and exfoliating often. Sorry to ramble on. I hope this helps someone.

After I’ve achieved the desired results. How do I maintain my underarms from not getting pigmentation again?
Athiya 1) If you want to remove unwanted hairs, opt for waxing over shaving. As waxing lasts longer than shaving, this also means irritation is MINIMISED.
2) Do NOT go back to using normal deo (those that contains aluminium).
3) Exfoliate it every few days. (Again, be gentle when exfoliating. Acids are GREAT.)
The main point is to avoid causing too much irritation. Irritation will cause your pits to go darker because it is your skin trying to heal itself. Think of it like a pimple. People will tell you not to pick pimples because that will surely cause either dented scarring or dark/red marks from where your picked pimple was. Same principle applies to your pits (and overall skin, actually).
I was at marshals today and picked up black African soap and a good scrubber to exfoliate. I also waxed my armpits today when I got my nails done so I’m starting this new journey. Going to start a new deodorant tomorrow. Today I just showered and didn’t put on deodorant since I’m home. I’m just worried since I live in Miami, I hope I don’t stank up the room 😖.

What do you think about Aromaco from Lush? I've been using it for about a month and I've noticed it's good if you have sweat and odour problems like me. However I think it kind of stops you from sweating or the sweat and deodorant mix together. Not sure. It's just that when I sweat my clothes don't stain. So I'm not sure if I'm sweating lol. Thanks for this video. I detox my armpits with a paste made from Bentonite clay and water (or organic apple cider vinegar). My deodorant is Schmidts Lime and Bergomont. When I miss a day or 2 or 3... it doesn't matter. Also, our diets contribute to the types of odors our bodies emit.

I think this is awesome. I use Tom's and Arm and Hammer Essentials for my deodorant. As far as the soap goes, I think we need to see your results with time. People who are currently really dark under their arms may still need to use the soap and then can perhaps maintain it with the other things you use after the hyperpigmentation has cleared. You don't need it right now because your hyperpigmentation has already cleared, but is coming back slowly. I hope to be able to do the same as you in a month or so. I am going to start exfoliating as well as continue using the kojie san soap until I am completely cleared. After that, I will probably only use it once every two weeks or once a month to ensure the darkness stays gone.
