(Gemmy) Funky Monkeys - Money Maker

Here is what I would consider the rarest funky monkey in the whole series. Can’t get enough of you baby is a close second though.
This is one of three money maker monkeys that have surfaced online. The first was discovered years ago on TH-cam, this was the second to surface, and a few weeks ago an old video of one was found on Facebook.
I found this on Marketplace around a year ago now, and in the end I paid around $40 for it. Like all of these do, it needed new gears in both mechanisms, but now he works great. This is definitely one of my favorite funky monkeys, and I am so grateful to own this one, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever find one 😭.
Now if I managed to find this…. Surely I can find a yellow steelers to complete my collection… right?

Valid, I was just never the biggest fan of the colors. The song is a huge plus over the purple one though. I’ve always cared more about the items appearance over the songs they play.
