Trains are finally back running south of Ayr from today, 1st July :) Class 37s were sent down the line to check the track condition last week..... which was a nice treat to see.
@@ClivestravelandtrainsHello sir, hope you are well.i analyse Your TH-cam channel, your content is amazing i enjoying it,but why Don't your channel Isn't growing properly? I found some problems what reasons are.your video didn't go to the right audience.did you want to monetize Your channel by organically? I want to help you.,
Passed by the Ayr Station Hotel yesterday. Bulldozers and crane busily demolishing it. It seems strange when you look east from Burns Statue Square and see sky where it used to be. The main road over the bridge beside it is fully opened now, which it wasn't before xmas.
Have done that journey so many times when I was a boy. A favourite holiday location plus, we would go to the airport to hopefully see some American aircraft. Cheers
3:22 Goodness, one of my photies, but it was sharper than that! I was going to visit Ayr sometime soon but it looks a little sad so I don't think I'll bother...
Hi - thanks for your comment. Hope you don't mind me using a screenshot from the Railscot website! I sometimes email them asking permission, but never get a reply. You photo (from Feb 2019) adds well to the story.
Did they ever get any money out of the fella that was letting it go to ruin? Remember it featuring on BBC doc years back but sketchy on the exact details
Thanks Clive! Cheers!

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm planning to visit Ayr again this week and do the trip to Stranraer again. I'd have loved to see the 37s at Kilkerran.
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. God bless you on your adventures.
Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your comment. South Ayrshire Council aren't giving much away, I suspect their lawyers are in pursuit
Very sad story
Thanks for your comment. I wish I had been able to stay there for a night.
