Exactly 💯. That's why you see that all "dead" churches have stubbornly. rejected the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I came across a such here in south east Asia, dead! So when I got any opportunity to stand on their pulpit, Jesus Christ instructed me to teach them about the Holy Spirit; who He is, His commission to help believers individually and the importance to filled with Him and how to know His voice.
Most church members were happy to receive the Holy Spirit and even the pastor was somehow getting his spiritual eyes opened. Then satan used the elders of the church to "demonise" my message and they said that it is a false gospel of the end times as the Bible says. They even threatened to fire the pastor if he continues to preach along that line of making the Holy Spirit a best friend.
Later, I went back to fellowship with them and found them in their deadness. They believe in Israel, they teach the old testament most times (teach about Sarah, Naomi, the widow and her son, Elijah, Elisha, David and other faith of gofly people), mention God almost of the time their sermons, for Jesus Christ, they mention Him as a bytheway like once or twice or few times. Afterward, they have yummy meals together after service and then go home while still clothed in envy, jealousy, hate/racism,....
I did my work, they have no excuse?
What people do not know is that even unto death, the Holy Spirit leads us. And we must still follow His divine instructions till He places us in Abraham's Bossom.
If you didn't listen to Him while still living in the earth, you expect all of a sudden to learn to hear and obey His voice while exiting the earth.
May the Holy Spirit be out best friend, now and forever in Christ Jesus we pray, Amen.
