I have heard stories of this types of getting overseas from Tonga in the past that sound similar to this one!!!! I am glad that you guys were able to get your story released with a good ending!!!!
“Basing every decision on not what I want but what my family needs that is my birthright” This short film was so powerful and moving when he said that I really felt it and could honestly relate like most polys whose parents migrated to New Zealand or Australia I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it was for them to leave their families behind in search for better opportunities for themselves, their families and future generations whilst still retaining their culture and roots I am forever grateful for my parents and families sacrifices and hope to make the most of the opportunities that they have given me and to try pay back a debt I can never truly pay for this film was inspiring and has reaffirmed what I need to do for them 2pac once said “there’s no way I can pay you back, but the plan is to show you that I understand you are appreciated” Thank you for this I needed that god bless you and I hope to see more future films from you
This film presented an important and underrepresented perspective, and Maiko Taukafa's performance was really impressive for a young actor. I'm excited to see where the cast and crew of this film go, and what stories they tell!
man who's cutting onions in front of me 😭😭 thanks for the very powerful message 💖💖 My friends dont wanna watch this movie with me coz I cry from beginning till the end 🤣
🇹🇴💗💕 thank you for sharing this video. It is very touching and it has great message of how we are as Tongans. We always willing to make sacrifices for our families and loved ones.
I love this so much😭🥰 thank you for sharing your story and letting us resonate with yous❤ I can only imagine how life wouldve been for them! My grandpa's parents both passed away when he was still a teenager and being the oldest of 7 siblings he had to carry that responsibility of raising his siblings and hoping to give them a better life back in Tonga. I've never really reflected on that story in comparison to my life growing up here in NZ until after watching this short film, hence why I'm so thankful for yous for sharing your story❤ keep it up🥰👏
💙💙💙👏👏👏💯💯💯💯 my late dad who's passed 12years ago was living proof, so this hit's home with me👏😎
