I love wool appliqué!! I’ve made big wall hangings a smalls. I like it because it’s so forgiving and doesn’t fray and it’s just fun!! Your project turned out super cute!! See you tomorrow!!!
I definitely think you made the right choice with the wool background! So simple, but so cute. I do wool applique the same way you do. "Those pieces have a tendency to walk right off the table". Ha! So true.
Lori, what a wonderful tutorial! I love the look of wool applique but have never attempted it. Your video has inspired me to try it in the new year. Thank you.
I LOVED the wool appliqué tutorial! I’ve had a few beginner project supplies waiting in the wings. Thank you so much for the confidence to dive in!! You make it look so easy. ❤
I love the tip about using a black or brown (or red) thread to stitch it down for a more primitive look. Also, when I was a preschool teacher and teaching 3 and 4-year-olds how to use scissors I would say, "Mr. Scissors does the cutting and Mrs. Paper does the turning."
Thank you for the demo. You’ve inspired me now to do some wool appliqué. Since watching your Vlogmas, I’ve started so many projects and having lots of fun.❤
I'm attempting my first wool applique wall hanging, so I really appreciated all of the tips you provided. Your project was darling. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us.
Thank you so much for the wool appliqué tutorial… I have a couple of small kits but I’ve been afraid to start…. Now I’m ready! I’m going to find this tree and do it too. Thank you Lori!
Always love wool applique though I have never done any. I have bought a few of them at estate sales for very decent prices. All the work that goes into them and then are sold for a small cost. Just like the cross-stitch pieces I have bought at sales. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Looking forward to tomorrow's video. 😻😻
Great tutorial/review of wool applique, Lori. Just in time for a quick Christmas gift. ps Most of my wool has come from old 100% wool clothing (just check for moth holes). It's a lovely way to preserve memories and repurpose.
Great tutorial Lori! I've stitched and sewn with a lot of different fabric, but for some reason, I've never done wool applique. I think that it's time to start. Happy Vlogmas!
This would be a first for me to try. I can find the scissors at FQS and the heat n’ bond but I am wondering if I can purchase bags of wool scraps or need to start a basket like yours a little at a time. The appliqué website has kitties and my Granddaughter would be a great candidate for a pillow with a cat outline, have to try. Great tutorial and great inspiration 🪡🧵🎄🐾
Even more excited to try wool appliqué now, thank you! I’ve been looking at some Buttermilk Basin pattern books for small pieces, but would love to hear any of your favorite pattern books for smalls…
Great demo, thanks so much. I'm curious, why do you prefer the curved scissor blades? I have the same brand of scissor, just not the same blade. Thanks again, very informative, with great tips.
I’ve been accumulating wool kits at thrift stores. I’ve also picked up several 100% wool men’s suit coats. I have a good sized bin of wool. Have you ever felted your own wool? Or over-dyed it yourself? I figure I’ll need to felt and maybe over-dye at least part of the wool I glean from the suit coats. Thanks for doing the tutorial. It was helpful.
Lori - I so enjoy your daily vlogmas videos, visiting with you each day fills my heart with joy!
Such a sweet appliquéd tree! A very thorough and clear demonstration. Thank you Lori!🎄❤
The Christmas tree is precious! Thank you for the wool appliqué tutorial - loved this and some great pointers - I made notes! ❤

I can see a new craft to learn wool applique. Thank you for a great tutorial, I made lots of notes.
I think I was thinking too much and making it way too complicated in my head. Can’t wait to try one of my kits. Thanks.
Nice tutorial. Thank you for putting that together. You are doing amazingly well with the filming equipment you have! Happy Vlogmas Day #11! 🌲🎅🏻🌲🎅🏻🌲🎅🏻
I ordered my Bohin needles 😊 I think that will help me not fight the hand stitching …. Thank you ❤

I save my heat and bond scraps as well. I also save my bits of wool.
Only a true wool worker would understand. 😊
Great demo, thanks so much. I'm curious, why do you prefer the curved scissor blades? I have the same brand of scissor, just not the same blade. Thanks again, very informative, with great tips.
@@susangriffin7411 They seem to work better for me for cutting small curved pieces.
@@texstylust That makes sense, your work is amazing.
