@@abraham2172 Season 2 wasn't bad IMO, but was definitely not as good as season 1 and it felt like the showrunners were basically trying to one-up themselves in the writing room over and over again while writing it (which is apparently somewhat true, as apparently somebody on Reddit figured out the original twist in season 2 and the writers basically rewrote the season out of spite). Season 3 was okay as a futuristic sci-fi concept, but it didn't really feel like Westworld to me so I definitely think it deserves the hate. Season 4 IMO was actually quite good and was almost a return to form for the show that would have panned out much better if a season 5 had come (assuming I understand the trajectory of the plot correctly), but by then it was too little too late so season 4 had horrendous viewership since most people bailed after season 3.

Agreed. This is about when tv shows became higher quality than films. Along with True Detective s01. But running shows all suffer in the end if they are not ended early or made to be viewed as independent episodes.

I'm a huge fan of the self-playing piano symbolism through the show. Such a simple thing that sums up the situtation perfectly

Cut to black, the piano fades and replaces it with suspenseful song. This isn’t just a science fiction TV show, it is… a horror. That is how Westworld foreshadows the story through symbolism.

This show had unlimited potential to be the GOAT. But I still liked the show. My expectations sky rocketed after season 1.

@@Nellielle007 The show is not bad. You just need to pretend that season 3 & 4 doesn't exist and enjoy it. The first 2 seasons are really interesting and can give us a glimpse of what AI could become.

@@jhonatantuyub1405 si sabes el porque la cencelaron? HBO ya tenia planeada la 5ta temporada pero al separar warner de HBO parte de sus acciones estaban en westworld y otras series y asi que decidieron cancelar la serie

I love these opening credits, however unfortunately the audio quality on this video is terrible and ruins it.... I suggest watching another video

While watching Silo, I thought the opening is the same as Westworld. And it really is. I don't know if Silo ripped this off. Even the pacing and vibe of the animations is kinda similar.

Shocking news. Westworld canceled after 4 seasons, a really inglorious ending for a so successful show when it aired for first time, but as the seasons passed the viewership started to fall. One of the most promising series and one of the most unfair cancellations. I cannot describe how much I loved this show and it's the definition that you should not follow what the most people saying but searching, because the diamonds and the treasures are always hidden somewhere out. Always the most promising films and series are the cancelled ones, like Rome, Raised by Wolves, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and the Amazing Spider-Man movies. Westworld offered deeply philosophical messages, with making the viewer think and concerning about how human is dreaming about a word where everyone would be his puppets and it gave us iconic characters with an amazing evolution, like The Man in Black, Dolores, Maeve, Bernard, Caleb and Ford.
