Watching these makes me feel like inside a cave at pre-historical times , around a small fireplace ready tho hear a new story from the wise man of the tribe . It sure does .
Ok, we want to know what happens below the event horizon. First, we need to know what happens outside the blackhole. A blackhole has a event horizon, a accretion disk and angular momentum. The blackhole spins hot plasma matter it catches from the galaxy, in a accretion disk. As a result, that hot plasma matter gets converted into high energy particle blazers. And shot out in the form of cosmic jets at 99% of C. That is it's purpose. It's a matter energy converter. You might say why ? Because if a galaxy like our milky-way had to much matter, it would collapse and only be a giant blackhole the size of the entire milky-way. With no stars or planets and we wouldn't be here on earth right now. In other words, this (M🔼(+E) = 99% of C. The triangle is a science symbol delta, delta means to convert to change something. Now you know what happens outside the blackhole. Now what happens below the event horizon that void ? For close to 50 years, they said below the event horizon all that star matter was crushed to infinite density. And was still some form of matter(M). In other words, this (M=M=singularity). But now they say there is no singularity no M. Now what happens below the event horizon. Maybe, we can do a experimental blackhole equation. This is the equation ((event horizon = g)×(spacetime= tidal forces)> (300,000 km/s) =(+E =C)^(+E🔼(-E)= (negative repulsive energy)= (expansion rate of our round bubble or toros universe)= the Hubble Constant. Remember 🔼 means to convert to change something. In other words, +E beyond the event horizon is spaghettified( science term to stretch). By tidal forces(fabric of space) traveling faster then C below the event horizon. To a Quantum State(the smallest possible energy particle), something we've never seen before, because we can't make a blackhole in a laboratory. That particle is negative repulsive energy (-E). Not anti-gravity because gravity (g) is a gravity well, curved space-time. You might say why doesn't +E stay as +E after spaghettified. Because it would just start to clump up from a Quantum State and become plasma matter again. So as negative repulsive energy (-E). It will travel below the event horizon using tidal forces(spacetime) and help our universe to continue to expand. So its a matter energy converter above and below the event horizon. Now time dilation it affects +E above the event horizon. It slows down the amount of +E that crosses the event horizon. Perhaps 1% of (+E) crosses the event horizon. But you might say, how can the universe expand with just 1% of (-E). Because there are 2 trillion galaxies(with blackholes) in the observable universe and trillions more beyond the cosmic horizon(unseen galaxies). All those trillions of galaxies(with blackholes) are converting positive +E to negative -E. And helping our universe expand.
This video isn't about the expansion of the universe. But I'll try to answer your question. First most scientists now say , that blackholes have something to do with (repulsive energy) (dark energy). Ok, let's use a example of 4 quadrants. Quadrant 1 has 4 galaxies(4 blackholes) quadrant 2 has 3 galaxies( 3 blackholes) quadrant 3 has 2 galaxies (2 blackholes) and quadrant 4 no galaxies (no blackholes). Remember what I said in the blackhole equation (-E) is repulsive energy. Ok, simple question? which quadrant produces the most (-E). Quadrant 1, 2 ,3 or 4. Quadrant 1 has 4 galaxies( 4 blackholes). It produces the most (-E) to help our universe expand. Quadrant 2 has 3 galaxies( 3 blackholes ) producing (-E) to help our universe to continue to expand etc, etc, etc. Now Quadrant 4 has no galaxies( no blackholes), so 4 doesn't produces any (-E). As a result, some part of our universe don't expand evenly. But quadrant 4 still expands because it still receives (-E) from Quadrant 1, 2 and 3, It expands slower and uneven. @@nevill2947
The only part of this video I find perplexing is the fact anyone would think a large black hole would be cooler than a small one? That makes perfect sense. The larger the surface area the faster heat can escape.
The heat of a black hole escapes as Hawking radiation. With a larger black hole, you have more wavelengths available for that radiation to escape as, including radio waves. However, the smaller the blackhole is, the shorter the available wavelengths become, so only high energy photons can be formed, meaning it has to be hotter.
I would happily pay $10+ if you could a video of similar quality but on speculations on what's after the black hole. What's after Hawking radiation? What are Roger Penrose's thoughts? I would also like to hear what are their most outlandish theories. Episodes like that could really sparks someones idea who works in this field day in and day out.
As I was watching this I was compelled to pull out my copy of Brief History of Time and wipe a little dust of the jacket. Fantastic video series. 👍. It's the best I've seen.
Another fascinating video on an extremely complex and beautiful subject made so easy to digest! Such a wonderful quest for knowledge! Thank you History of the universe for a wonderful video on black hole connecting topics, helping those of us that love this subject and lack the mathematical language to describe it ❤
The most relaxing, anxiety-soothing voice talking about what I personally consider to be the second most mind-bending, existential-crisis-inducing subject in space. This is gonna be FUN.
The fact that Black Hole’s entropy grows with its area reminds me of the Fuzzball theory, which states that there is nothing inside a black hole, as in there is no space there, it’s like a large bubble of no-space (think Swiss cheese holes), and all information/strings are stored on the surface. That also resolves the singularity paradox, as there isn’t one.
We are in a transformation from infinity density and zero space time to zero density and infinite space time. For this to happen all energy needs to be broken down into its smallest component (photons) before passing through a singularity where this information is transported into the past which is all we can observe. As more information passes through black holes it increases the amount of information in the past which expands into us into the future.
WTF as you actually on about? Just because you dreamed something and decided to write it down, that DOESN’T mean it true. 🤥And wtf is zero spacetime and infinite spacetime supposed to mean?🧐 What you wrote is absolute and complete bullshit. It has ZERO basis in reality or ANYTHING to do with logic and actual physical phenomenon. You obviously haven’t realised but this video is NON-FICTION. It’s talking about our reality, not some sci-fi make believe garbage… Like yours, for example. 😂🤪🤪
My first "encounter" with a black hole was in a mid-1970's sci-fi T.V. show called, "Space: 1999". There was one episode called "Black Sun", which turned out to be my favorite episode, because of the philosophical tone, and the psychedelic, "cosmic" scenes near the end. After that episode, I became convinced that a "Black Hole" was ALWAYS the result of a dead star. My next encounter was a few years later was a few years later with the Disney movie, "The Black Hole" with Maximillian Schell as the baddie.
I'll let you in on a secret, that's the entire channel. On the earth without photosynthesis episode, it just keeps going into different tangents and only answers the question of the last five or 10 minutes of the video. I personally think it's part of the charm, all the tangents are usually useful context or the history of the context and is quite interesting.

Thanks. I needed this today.
Great stuff. I love these every time they come out,
My favorite science channel.
Covering my favorite subject.

Three cheers for HotU and the legendary David Kelly.
Great, man. This will definitely boost up my energy as I am on my way of understanding black hole ( beginner )!

Noooo you beat me to it 😂😂
"Think of a supermassive ballerina."
Me: "no thank you."
The only thing in the universe that don’t lose numbers when she enters a black hole is….😂
Imagine how prestigeous a channel you would have to be to get Prof. Joseph Conlon to write for you?
Let's goo another sleeping video to add to the playlist
I like the bigger focus on history stories. Really give a food feeling for how things where found out
Fake news @19.00th minute: 'Black holes have no hair'.
I know for sure that my black hole has hair.
Absolutely love this channel. My favorite on YT.
The only part of this video I find perplexing is the fact anyone would think a large black hole would be cooler than a small one? That makes perfect sense. The larger the surface area the faster heat can escape.
Sure, but since there is no surface and not even light escapes it - it's understandable why people would make that assumption
What’s inside a black hole 🕳️??
A man with a flash light searching for the circuit breakers 😂
Literally the first channel to show a black hole from underneath. Please show me another. Fckn love this channel
Good night everyone
Today is going to be a good day, HOTU video drop, what could be better than 56 minutes of black hole stuff from the best astrophysics channel ever 😎
Whaaaaaatttt????!!! HOTU posts and I have to go to work!!!! Noooooooo!!!!!!!!
I‘m SO excited every time you post!
yes, keep making me wonder
As I was watching this I was compelled to pull out my copy of Brief History of Time and wipe a little dust of the jacket. Fantastic video series. 👍. It's the best I've seen.
Black hole sun, won’t you come?
🙃
Another fascinating video on an extremely complex and beautiful subject made so easy to digest! Such a wonderful quest for knowledge! Thank you History of the universe for a wonderful video on black hole connecting topics, helping those of us that love this subject and lack the mathematical language to describe it ❤
“Thanks to my heritage for supporting educational content on youtube” lmao
A truly astounding channel! Always impressed!
The most relaxing, anxiety-soothing voice talking about what I personally consider to be the second most mind-bending, existential-crisis-inducing subject in space.
This is gonna be FUN.
Honestly when I'm feeling anxious I find his narration, with the pregnant dramatic pauses, kind of the opposite of relaxing.
I'll be heartbroken, shocked, and disgusted if this video doesn't mention OEM 2011 Land Rover SE head gasket replacements being in black holes.
A hole is a hole. - Vanilla Ice
We are so back
Lol, what?
@@Deletirium When HotU does't upload, we are in fact not back
Im not just saying this.. every time you say "fartshield" I pause the video and drink a beer.
Imagine not being hyped when one of these videos drops...
What's inside a black hole? A lot of stuff knocked in there by an extremely large, black cat.
Psuedobabble disrespects what this channel stands for.
@@Jeewanu216agreed, but we’ll look pretty funny if this guy turns out to be right
@@jacksonhawkins9176 Saying photons are the smallest component of energy is more than enough for me to be sure as hell that won't happen.
All energy ❌
All matter✅
Hopefully that fixes it 😂
WTF as you actually on about? Just because you dreamed something and decided to write it down, that DOESN’T mean it true. 🤥And wtf is zero spacetime and infinite spacetime supposed to mean?🧐
What you wrote is absolute and complete bullshit.
At the singularity you will find socks that went missing from the dryer
Legit one of the best channels on the platform, hands down. It's sooo well done, it's crazy.

Depression is one hell of a drug.
Good vid but the title is a bit misleading. Only at 43:03 do you begin to discuss what is INSIDE a black hole…
Shhhh don't ruin the quality longform content 😊
That's because channels like this are most probably AI generated content
"Great course but the name is a bit misleading. Only halfway through the calculus course did we begin to discuss derivatives and integrals."
Sometimes you need to understand what limits are before learning how differentiation works
@
All I’m saying is the vast majority of vid should be directly related to the title. If I click on a 50 min. vid about Seawolf class subs I’m not signing up for a 40 min. primer on the history of submarine warfare. If that’s not directly analogous you at least get my point.
Edit: Some might say it’s a minor thing, chill. I’d say there’s WAY too much said tactic or whatever you want to call it. It’s a cheap way to quickly post another vid. Moneyshot title with B-roll filler and nearly no original content. To those who say “chill! You’re getting quality content for free!” I’d reply: “ they’re doing it to make money and even if I didn’t pay out of pocket I’d be paying with my time and eyeballs on the ads.” No?? Am I way off base??
