I see a flash coming from somewhere. Are you also using an off camera flash with your continuous octagonal light to the right? If it’s off camera, where do you have that pointed?

Thank you for replying! Do you think you can link what you’re referring to? I’m pretty new to indoor studio photography and I’m not sure what you mean by studio strobe.

Actually I think I’m understanding now. You are using a strobe inside your soft box. I was confused because it looked like continuous light but with the strobe you can have the “model” light on to see where the shadows fall.
