Granted, this is an extremely well done performance. Strong and moving. But, I keep wondering about the hair. What is it with the Norwegians and the unkempt, straggly, long frizzy hair? In America, that hippie look went out 40 years ago or more.
I posted a year ago and no one has since. This is such a negative statement of the state of our society that it is scary. When has culture seen such a low?
I so wish Americans could be exposed to his voice and the personality of his performances. It would mean a giant step forward in appreciation of operatic voices. I am an American and am appalled at the reception which operatic voices, in general, receive in this country.
