Love those shots when the camera man is back a ways or at a different vantage away from the shooter. So cool. I’ve also had the experience of the wheeler falling out of the truck😂 I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life. What a stud, wow! Nice work!
Don't listen to the know-it-alls that know everything that deer think and feel. It is nice that some have that close connection though. Great hunt and thank you. As an aside, how many videos have we all seen where the jumbo, rainbow calibers didn't always drop them in their tracks.
Sweet buck, can't beat a 6.5! Too many people worried about velocity, energy blah, blah, blah All about shot placement. However pretty cool hearing about deer whisperes as them letting us know that deer are telling them that they are suffering and we need bigger guns. Eitherway what an amazing hunt! Congrats
@guy burnette the video is a little misleading and I'm sorry for that but the first shot actually missed the buck, on the video we mentioned it hit him but it did not. If the video was not cut you would see the deer run up the hill before stopping again.
the 6.5 needmore is a great cartridge ,but at long shots dosnt have the energy or velocity to preform well on game, that buck suffered because of being under gunned for the distance the shot was taken. everyone should look at energy and velocity levels for each caliber you hunt with, ballistic charts are easy too use. glad you got the buck.
He missed the 1st shot on the video, I thought he hit him but he shot right over him after reviewing the video in slow mo. 2nd shot smashed him. Buck never suffered a second. Agree with ya the 6.5 creed is a sweet cartridge.
@@scopecamadapter5695 I've hunted for 50 years. The first shot created a reaction that is one of a deer who has been hit, it wasn't a miss. Both shots hit him. the first is a typical lung shot reaction, the second looked like you hit the spine. There wasn't much time between both shots and he didn't look like he was suffering. it's a typical hunting scenario. I feel that if you were shooting a 7mm mag or a more powerful rifle, you would have dropped him with the first shot. For many years I hunted with a 25-06 using 120 grains bullets. All my shots dropped the deer I was after. I had time to aim for the neck. Finally I was on an island shooting sheep. I thought that I had missed several...They all were killed and didn't go over 30 to 40 yards but because the hits weren't neck or spine shots, they didn't even act as though they had been hit at all. Since then I've stopped using that caliber and much prefer heavier calibers. Your 6.5 is a great gun but you wont have the same efficiency at long range that you get with a 7 or 300.
I fully agree on the 6.5s. I owned one and sold it. Don't miss it at all. Just don't feel it is the right caliber to be hunting big game. To many videos of having to put multiple rounds in and the animal still getting up and taking off.
Beef jerky? Maybe a few molecules of beef held together with a bunch of stuff no one can pronounce. That fox is heading down the wrong dietary road! 😂😂😂😂 On another subject, when you have guys whispering like that, subtitles would be good.
Everyone keeps glassing these bucks and stalking. Other bucks are literally on your hill that your glassing from. I've never gone more than 500 yds from camp without killing a mature mule deer.
Thanks! If the video was not cut you would see that the first shot actually missed him. I mentioned it hit in the video but it didnt, just missed. 2nd shot did it. No suffering went on. Love the 6.5.
Have you ever eaten meat? Fish, bacon, steak, chicken? All those creatures had even Less of a chance. ...oh, Vegan maybe? ... to raise crops commercially, plants, insects, small animals, birds, are all killed in the process. Wake up, panzy.
AS A HUNTER,,, I LOVE HUNTING VIDEOS,,, BUT WHEN PEOPLE START TALKING INCHES,,,, I AM SORRY,,, BUT I FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE EVER TASTE WILD MEAT,, WE TRUE HUNTERS,,, JUST LIKE OUR ANCESTORS GO OUT TO BRING FOOD TO OUR FAMILY,, NOT A SKIN AND ANTLERS,, NOW IN CASE WE CAME A CROSS SOME MEMORABLE,,,, THEN WE SPEND SOME MONEY AND MOUNT IT,,, THAT IS A TROPHY
To me, all hunting is trophy hunting. The experiences in camp, the pursuit, the recovery, the companions in the hunt. The size and quality are just a bonus.
The camera guy is a dipstick. Laughing continually after the buck was wounded and laughing that they might have to finish him off. I can't stand hunters like that. I am so sick of all the high-tech stuff with hunting anymore, there's absolutely no fair Chase to our big game animals anymore. Thousands and thousands of dollars that probably came from Mommy and Daddy so they could get all that high-tech hunting gear. It's not even hunting anymore, it's wannabe snipers from out-of-state wandering around the mountains for weeks on end. I grew up in the heart of the Rocky Mountains - I'm so tired of seeing these out-of-staters come in here with all their high-tech gear and all their money and go blast away at our big game animals. I can't tell you how many dead animals I have come across that were poor shots from a thousand+. The rules need to change or else there won't be any big bucks are big bulls left. Everybody is a TH-cam Star nowadays. Hey let me try to make some money off filming myself hunting and other people States 😅 Go back and hunt your state.
Sweet video, Reg. Not sure how I missed it up until now. Good to see you boys enjoying life! Great buck, Michael!
Awesome buck! That first spike looks like he's standing on the side of prince creek road!
Really nice buck , beautiful country and a very good hunting video. Thanks for sharing the hunt. I almost felt like I was there.
Dandy buck, great patience = great rewards. Nice job fellas!
Beautiful buck guys!
Nice buck. Super nice of your daughter to let you borrow her rifle too.
Very nice buck and I love it. Thank you for share with us!
They are in Saguache Colo , logarita Rd. Nice buck guy's.. That is wear I think it is.
Really nice selection of mule deer

I knew someone the quad tried to get in the truck threw the back window $$$$

Thanks man!

You cant be serious? That shot proves you need energy
It's an argument that nobody can win. How far is too far and how much energy do you truly need? More than just one factor, look at archery hunting.
@guy burnette the video is a little misleading and I'm sorry for that but the first shot actually missed the buck, on the video we mentioned it hit him but it did not. If the video was not cut you would see the deer run up the hill before stopping again.
Congrats on a great buck guys! Good video! Looked like a fun hunt!
Thanks 👍
Great video, guys! Super congratulations ... you EARNED him.
Nice buck! Good job guys.
Thanks bud!

Great buck...congrats!
BTW, love being able to watch KTTA both at home and at our cabin.
Love to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Think you underestimated that narrow buck.
He was a good buck for sure, we looked for him again.

@Paul Homsy what's your email and I'll send you the uncut version... you can watch it all unfold.
I have switched to copper bullets cuz they hold together and penetrate at all reasonable ranges. Neither of those shots was especially well placed....

Congrats on a heck of a buck. We ran into you guys in that country and can verify that it was steep and cold. The fox was pretty cool too.
Beautiful buck congratulations
Beautiful buck and a great hunt
Thanks
Awesome buck! Congrats
Thanks 👍
Beautiful buck!

Way to go Mike!! Awesome Buck!
Thanks
What was state of harvest ? Looks like Colorado ?
Amazing deer. Did you get it scored? I’m going to guess 170”?
I never taped him but ya he's probably around that.
Thanks bud
I would say closer to 180
@@randy7003 yeah probably. Tank of a buck.
Putting the 6.5 to work💪🏼 what was the yardage on the kill shot?
Been a year…how far?
Damn! That's a fatty. Symmetrical 5x5. Congrats to you and your family.
Awesome deer! I killed my first mule deer in Montana this past season and was very happy with it but this Buck was a different caliber! 👍🏼👍🏼
Congrats on your first buck. Thanks for watching.
Hey awesome buck! What state is this in?
Utah
Hell of a long poke for a 6.5! Just sayin. Nice buck though.
Congrats. What state?
Thanks BC
Colorado
Hunt right Infront of yourself. They're in your camp.
Yeah great hunt ,buck didn't feel a thing. Did it for food not fun
Shouldn't have left it in Neutral
It was in gear :)
Good sniping.
Kalaw/kalao

🤡
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭
Two guys glassing and continually talkin’. Not much here to watch. Ic🌵
John we for sure needed to capture more, get caught up hunting and not being camera man. We will work on it. Thanks for watching.
This right here is EXACTLY the way to hunt trophy mule deer. Sit in my recliner in the climate control and watch y’all be miserable. Screw that.
dandy buck too bad you used the 6.5 he suffered a bit
Thanks! If the video was not cut you would see that the first shot actually missed him. I mentioned it hit in the video but it didnt, just missed. 2nd shot did it. No suffering went on. Love the 6.5.
feeding wildlife? you guys should know better!
Not hunting that killing
that's not cool bro killing a defenseless, innocent animal, hunting should be banned
Lol😂
Have you ever eaten meat? Fish, bacon, steak, chicken? All those creatures had even Less of a chance.
...oh, Vegan maybe? ... to raise crops commercially, plants, insects, small animals, birds, are all killed in the process.

Really hard to eat them if you don't kill them first .

Go back and hunt your state.
Take up your NR issues with your game and fish, we are all NR’s somewhere, just playing by the rules established.
