  • Taking my suped-up stock submarine twenty thousand leagues under the sea! Launch stats: 1036 parts, 5902 tons and 70000 kN of THRUST! This is definitely the video I am most proud of -- so far! -- and it took an AGE to design, record and edit. I really, really hope you enjoy. It's good to be back!!

  • @Jognt
    @Jognt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +83

    The sounds sounding heavy and massive, the editing that made it all look like a breeze, the size of the rocket, design of the rocket, how the fairing ALMOST overheated but didn't, the decoupling touch of the 10m heatshield pushing away the submarine, the wing unfurling, the tail coming out, the gliding, the releasing of wings, the submarine itself and its prop design, and the Kerbal that didn't float to the surface. I just cannot decide which part was the coolest. All of them look and sound amazing and some of them are SO close to 'the edge' that it must've taken you a LOT of effort to find that sweetspot where it all works!
    The literal jumping fish clip was the funniest though ;)
    How did you get the Kerbal to stick under the sub? I thought it would try to float up? Or do they somehow maintain their ability to walk if you clamp them between the ground and a craft?

    • @Hazardish
      @Hazardish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      Thank you very much for the kind words! A kerbal will float up unless they are in a gap as tall as they are. So by walking right under the middle of the sub, the helmet is constantly in contact with the hull and they can walk. If I had walked to the side then poor Val would have been launched upwards

    I waited 5 months for one video from Hazard-ish and it worth it!
    Thank you king. KSP should hire you to showcase the game!

    Omg if I didn't know any better, I would've thought this was the trailer for KSP 2 (it's better than the current trailer out). The camera angles, sound design, visuals, music, ship design...this is the BEST KSP video I've ever seen.
    I had to watch it twice it was so good.

    The aesthetics, the camera work, the editing, the wing reveal, the transition to 4:3 and back to 16:9, the use of moving parts. I think you really outdone yourself.

    8:25 is easily the most badass deployment I have ever seen!!! after an overall very cleanly designed launch vehicle, this payload takes it way over the top like we know and love it from Hazard-ish.
    Your senses of pacing and video composition (and craft design) are impeccable!

    By far the best KSP video I saw since... I started watching KSP on YT! Why? It's simple:
    - well designed crafts
    - good choice of visual mods
    - synthwave

    After how goofy and endearing the first video was, this is somehow even more charming. The music choice makes me think there's a bunch of stoic guys in aviators constantly bobbing their heads to the beat throughout the voyage, lmao.
