- Today, just ahead of the release of Skaventide (the new starter box for Age of Sigmar) I tackle a large part of my pile of shame in a 24 hour speedpaint marathon. I have never done this kind of challenge video before on the channel so let me know if you liked it! Feel free also to use this as a tutorial, all paints and techniques are listed in the video. The dip-wash was very satisfying.

I have these on square bases for old world and warhammer fantasy, I dont play AOS much.
Apologies, when I say I painted in the teeth and rope with baneblade brown it was in fact karak stone.
Impressive!! I could never do that hahahaha
Nice-nice.
Man this was so much fun to watch!!! Please keep it up the commentary made it fantastic.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Great Job!!!!
looks great!
That's a hello of a lot of paining! Solid effort! Seeing as you put a basecoat down for each colour, I'm curious as to why you didn't give them a skin tone spray after the brown so you could smash the skin out relatively quickly? Then basecoat the other stuff as normal.
Thanks very much! It may have been an idea to do that now you say it. I didn't mainly just because I thought areas I skimped out painting later (like ropes and spear shafts and the such) on would be fine fur brown there the ratty skintone wouldn't. Also I just didn't have one at the time.
Having painted the 40 clanrats that come in the Island of Blood box last year I remember all too well how long and tiring this can be there is a lot of detail on these rats thats hard to reach in retrospect I wished I hadnt glued the arms and shields on would have made it all easier!
Good work and good effort on the challenge!
Yeah I know what you mean, I didn't find it that problematic this time because I wasn't so worried about the hard to reach areas. But when I painted my island of blood box those shields were the bane of my existence too.
You are an absolute unit
Good job in 24hrs! Keep going, subbed x
Game respects game
Its a sad thing, that the skaven suck in tow and i say that as someone who plays skaven since 7th
Impressive
Once you start using enamel and oil washes, you will never use Acrylic again.
I can definitely believe that, I do want to try using them on something soon.
I use both. Just depends on what I’m doing. Both have their place
For example on bulk Skaven troops I wouldn’t want to waste time by varnishing in between doing oils or enamels. So I’d probably use acrylics. But on a screaming bell I’d break out the oils and enamels
Once you start using dollar store craft paints, you will never use enamel and oil washes again
