    At the time “Industrial secrets” were not guarded as tightly as was the case later. Besides, it probably is not wrong to say the British were trying to convey the message that Germans wouldn’t be successful in a naval arms race.
    12” /50cal were also produced for foreign customers, although no German speakers among those it seems.
