The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex 1939 movie: Bette Davis was born to play Elizabeth I, and like the legendary queen she rules the screen in The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, a sweeping yet literate historical love story co-starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. Sumptuous costumes and a regal production design distinguish director Michael Curtiz's film.
I really loved that series. The line “Come, Ladies, let us watch Essex at what he does best, which is try to kill people” always stuck with me. The novel Shakespeare’s Rebel by CC Humphrey is a very good take on him too.
Thank you for your informative videos. I have a question: Do you read the text from a script in your videos? The information you provide is doubtfree very good, but your voice sounds in every video totally the same and (please excuse that) somehow free of emotion and robotic. I watched a lot of videos on your channel and this is really prominent to me. A free spoken text transports automatically more emotion and liveliness. I would try it.
Playing cards late at night til birds sing in the morning ? Is that what they called it back then ?😉
Now play chest ? Lol
So much more poetic than "hide the salami" 🤣
Everyone has had a thing for a cougar once in awhile lol
I hope no older woman ever crosses your path. The tone is very condescending. No man should show ever refer to a woman this way.
@@irinavasserman7599 what an idiot. Saying your attracted to an older aggressive woman who has a prefence for younger men is not condescending.

Ik val in slaap van uw toon en verhaaltjes. Dank u.
Enjoyed!
I bet if Lady Jane Grey was never executed and she was still alive in 1601 I bet he would try and replace Elizabeth with his step auntie
I don’t understand why they give a life story before they get to the main point.
"slipping her the Bob!"
🤦😂
Third time's a charm.
The channel 4 TV series with Helen Mirren covered this story, was well done.

@@jasmijnvenner2403 Yeah, Hugh Dancy played a brilliant Essex in that I thought.

I fall asleep from this tone. Try it when you can't sleep. 🤣
She certainly was no virgin, rogered senseless no doubt by most that were accused of it.
Did a good job of not getting pregnant in that case...
Ah, the impertinent Irish!🤣🤣🤣
The BRUTAL vacuousness title of this idiotic video.
