I saw Jessica Pratt live in memphis. She is truly mesmerizing. Her voice is quiet, but clear and pure and very interesting to listen to and I love that her sound is refreshing yet nostalgic. Very special artist here.
Dayum, her guitar sounds awesome too! Though, I did wish she would hit the bass strings a bit harsher. Might even be an awesome contrast to her soft and fragile-like voice.
If kids still cared they would buy albums so that their favourite artists wouldn't need to rely on corporate sponsorships and licensing to make a living.
+Ryan Cook I agree. Kids are too busy spending money on cell phones and video games to support good music. And if they DO listen to music, they rip it off... sad, but they deserve what they get... no record stores, and the wort top 40 imaginable.
I gotta say, I appreciate this album far less than it's predecessor. I also don't appreciate the way her mouth moves while she sings....it reminds me of Jason Mewes or something.
I was thinking about this yesterday. Most singers put on affectations, generally to sound like some famous or influential singer (Billie, Vaughan, Sinatra, Vedder, etc.). She puts on an affectation to sound a bit odd, or different. I like the latter kind of affectation a lot more than the former.

I was the same way at first, but I'm used to it now, and love this song for its melodic and harmonic beauty. Her earlier 2012 album doesn't have this kind of voice if you're interested in listening to it. It's very pretty
wow she's got an impressive voice, very sinister sometimes and gruff but glowing and unique

This music really sticks with me. Her melodies keep jumping into my head. Very glad I stumbled across her. Good work Jessica, and Thank you. :)
Her music bits me in a trance, beautiful stuff!
Awesome song ❤
She gave a great show in London yesterday......

so fucking good.

I'll bet someone likes Wanda Jackson, Cool voice!
Pure indie music brought to you by Lexus. There was a time when this would be a really bad thing. I guess kids don't care anymore.

Her singing really puts me off. Seems such an affectation, too fake, precious for my taste.
