Your man is terrific. His instructions were very clear and concise. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for these gentle giants. Blessings to you both for the wonderful life you are providing for these horses.

I'd have to agree that the new watering system is a better, safer upgrade. Having water and electric near each other can be hazardous to horse and human. Very educational, don't understand it all but I'm sure there are many that have learned a lot from your video.. 💘 🐎 🇺🇸

It is hard work, but i know the killers love those draft horses. The Amish dont treat them the best either. If there is a heaven for horses you have it there for them.

Was wondering about your water supply because these horses drink a lot! Am very worrired about another youtuber who hasworking draft horses and only takes them out to drink when they come out of their very small stalls! He says the Amish treat their horses well !!!! My onky worry about automatic water is if something goes wrong and its not spotted in time so they are not infallable. Glad to see you are rescuing donkeys aswell they too are vulnerable members of equine society.❤

Great question...The waters fill as the horse drinks. So as they are taking a drink the water starts coming out right away. We are actually in the process of upgrading our electrical in the barn (video to come) so if there was a power failure we can flip a switch so a generator can take over so the waters always have power so they don't freeze in the winter. We also installed a generator on the house so the water well will keep running in a power outage. I'm also a helicopter mom (lol) and am out there at least 10 times per day checking on them and I always check their waters.
Some Amish do treat their horses really well...not all Amish do this to their horses. Unfortunately our horses didn't get the good family. But that is all in their past and from here forward they will only know love and kindness.

@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo also think this love of teturning to the past is good in many respects but for working horses the arrival of the mechanical age was a great relief. Now we are in dangrr of teturning to a past era ofinhumane a nimal welfare. Not to mentuon those aweful events called horse pulls.

Thank you so much! I thought the waterers were small too and there would be no way the horse could get their nose in there...but I was wrong they work really well for them. Thanks for following along with our journey!
